Since that war is passed I guess I can share a few points with you.
We defined lost as the inability of you war to disrupt our day to day operations. From the start it was decided that we would not bother to engage unless it was useful to us to do so. We were in the process of moving to our new homes in cache. If this is what you mean by underground as opposed to Empire, then yes, thats where we were. This decision was reached for two reasons.
1) We knew you were on Ra's payroll. The longer we kept you "fighting" us, the more expensive it would be to our real enemies, RA. Since it was basicly an economic attack I think the council decided this was prudent.
2) We had better things to do with our resources in region. As we were pretty new to the area there was alot we need to accomplish. Setting up Pos's. Mining Crimson ark. And laying the foundation for our manufacturing arm for the alliance.
We accomplished everything we set out to do in this time frame, while dragging the war on. We mined, built, and made billions. We also fought you from time to time. Most of us had alts that we enjoyed bringing out to your little skirmishes. And to your credit, you did kill some of us. A few mains too I think. Good job! As for kill boards and such, I don't think too many of us put stock in the boards really. It may be a way to measure lost isks, and if so, a meter for the war effort. But it doesn't show the Big picture. The one you all (and RA) never touched. Its not to say that we didn't have any measureable losses, as we did, im told. But in the end, the resault was the same.
You recended the war dec, after what? 4 weeks? Maybe longer, again, I dunno. You all killed some alts, a few mains, tied up RAs wallet for that long. We avoided you, mined, made billions, built an infostructure and dug our heels in.
And thats where we are, still, today...
