What is a AT lottery? Well, Clockwork Pineapple has decided that we want to raise some additional funds heading into this alliance tournament in expectation of progressing farther into the tournament then we did in our inaugural run last year. We did quite well despite it being our first run, finally getting knocked out after getting surprised by a clever bit of comping on Verge of Collapse's part.
Why are we doing this? Well, last year we stockpiled just shy of 50b isk on ammo, drones, ships and mods for our run which we already have matched this year. However we'd like to have a bit more isk on backup just in case its needed. This allows us to have more comps set up and ready to go, giving us much more immunity from bans and various other tactics like market manipulation.
We're going to be offering a lottery with 100 tickets, each one 250m each. So, what does your ticket give you a chance of winning? Well, that all depends on how far we get. If we win at least one match, we will be handing out 10 of the limited edition painted rattlesnake hulls. If we get into the top 32, we will be distributing the 5 plex. If we get into the top 16, we will hand out 5 prizes of 3 plex each. If by some combination of luck, skill and determination (With a bit of help from generous sponsors like you of course ;)) we reach the final 4 and are awarded blueprints for the Whiptail and Chameleon, we will hand out one of each hull. In the unlikely event that we somehow win nothing, we will be using the stockpile of unused fits and ships to refund all ticket purchases. Prizes will be awarded even in the event that all tickets are not purchased.
Now, I'm sure there are some people wondering who we are and what makes us think we're worth you buying tickets to our lottery. Well, we have a very experienced team who not only competed in the last Alliance Tournament, but we also have many members that have competed in both NEO tournaments and all SCL matches on teams like No Boundaries and Rep Cartel. We have a reputation as a small gang PVP entity which bases in syndicate and has historically sparred against well known Syndicate groups like Rote Kapelle, Huzzah Federation, Ev0ke, Ineluctable and Agony Unleashed.

Everything. with the reason of AT XII Lottery followed by the ticket numbers you are purchasing (So a purchase of tickets 4 and 20 would look like AT XII Lottery 4,20) and post in this thread with the tickets you would like to purchase along with the name of the character sending the isk in game. There is no way to have a 3rd party holding the prizes given that CCP hasn't awarded them yet. However I will be enlisting a 3rd party to take possession of the prizes as we are gifted them from CCP, who will eventually be distributing the prizes. Effectively, this is us crowd sourcing the isk. And instead of doing it like a normal loan, we're having a bit of fun and running it as a lottery instead. |
