I've just woke up an old alt from 2007 with only 5m SP, 11m ISK and a Rifter. I'm really wanting a fresh start. I've noticed quite a lot of changes since I last played in 2010. So I'd hate to get laughed at because of dodgy 2010 Rifter fit on a kill mail and such. If there's one major change you think I should really know about since 2010 then please post it below. I don't want to find myself in a similar situation to the one Scotty had on the Enterprise-D.

There's tons and tons of changes, rebalancing, new ships, new modules, changed mechanics&gameplay and whatnot. Too much to mention really. I usually just start over and go through the whole new player experience again to see how fast and how far I can go with what I've learned the times before. Don't think of your ignorance as a burden but as an asset: you get to experience discovering the game all over again with a new perspective.

EVE now has tutorials that are actually worth doing.

Rifter is more or less the same, as that was the only frigate that was properly done (hence everybody was flying it). Rubicon brought some pretty amazing changes to warp speed ... the tipping point, imo is at the battlecruiser ... your mileage may vary depending on what you fly.
