I play with 4 accounts so I can easily do this using 3 computers when necessary.
L4 Missions can be profitable and fun however Player Pirates don't feel this way so they like to grief people from time to time using Covert Ops rigs so they can get up close and personal before striking. (I personally liked it better before CCP allowed this kind of crap but nobody listens to those of us who just like playing the game, apparently.)
Keep a clocked Megathron or Scoprion sitting close enough to be able to uncloak and do some damage meanwhile the pirate IDIOTs whack you primary ship which should be a B.S. with some juice. Scorps are nice because you can use jammers to keep from being targeted. Missile are worthless against small ships so you have to use guns to get the pirates attention.
I think CCP should allow L4 missions to be done within gun range of Starbase POS setups so griefers can't crash the party but apparently CCP doesn't have anybody on staff who plays the game and therefore has never run into griefers like I have several times.
Let's be honest about this folks. Allowing Player Pirates to warp-in and f_ck you over while doing a L4 mission is nothing less than griefing. There is NO constructive reason for this to be allowed. Once an NPC goes aggro on one player it cannot go aggro on any other players until it kills that player's ship. This too is just silly STUPID. Get real, CCP, make the NPC's use the same tactics a human would use or take them out of the game already. There is no reason to program NPC's to use weaker tactics than a human would use lest we fit our ships too weak to stand up to human griefers when they warp-in to crash the party.
Then there's the STUPIDITY of placing L4 Kill Missions in low-sec space that baffles my mind. What's the point of doing L4 kill missions in low-sec space when griefers can simply warp-in and crash the party uninvited thus breaking the mission which takes faction points away and lose an expensive ship. L4 kill missions require some serious fire-power which means a group of players or a high level B.S. with some support.
Hey, CCP, if you wanted to make this game UNPLAYABLE in low-sec space well I think you have achieved that nicely. How about next time you do a game update you fix this crap or I can simply stop doing L4 kill missons which may be what CCP wants anyway. I mean why make any attempt to make the game fun for all when you can just as easily make the game fun for player pirates at the expense of the rest of us ?!? EVE is a much more fun game or rape-gangs than for anyone else. Rape-gangs can get by using small cheap ships with less risk than the rest of us who just like playing the game for fun. Rape-gangs can use game mechanics to thier favor easier than the rest of us. Rape-gangs get all the protection from CCP. There are more low-sec systems in EVE than high-sec. it is easier to lose sec-rating than gain it. All the fun parts of the game are inacccessible to all of us expect for the favored few in-game. For all these reasons EVE is become a huge bore for me since I am simply in-game to give the griefers something to do with themselves and while this may be fun for the griefers is is becoming a chore for me I could easily live without.
EVE could be fun for all if only CCP would allow it to be fun for all. As it is EVE is only fun for a few who want to live as a gang-banger or a rape-gangster.
Give me and mine the same advantages as the typical rape-gang in EVE and maybe I'll stick around throwing my money into CCP's pockets - otherwise my interest is waning and will cease to fund CCP before too long. |

EVE is a game full of PVP, thats what makes this game so great. If you want to PVE without being killed by pirates: 1)stay out of low security - low security is PVP space, if you cant PVP stay out of it. ITS THAT SIMPLE! or 2)Go here

Either stay out of low-sec or learn to survive. Read local and if a big group of pirates enter then just get safe. Work together with friends to provide protection. I personally think its good that more profit is made with more risk.

Yes, I was STUPID to have thought I could do L4 Kill Missions in a 0.4 system.
I was STUPID to not have a another ship sitting nearby to protect me from griefers.
I was STUPID to have paid CCP any money at all.
I was STUPID to not be a member of a huge coproration with ample protection against griefers.
I have no problem admitting I was STUPID. Shall I list more ways in which I was STUPID ? |

Okay this does it. You must be the biggest, moronic whiner of a carebear I've ever seen on these forums. It's people like you who give carebears a bad name, ****, you even give stupid people a bad name.
Hmm, some constructive critism of his post would normally come here, but since he's proved over and over and over again that it makes absolutely no sense to him, I wonder what the point is?
Anyways, I'll spell it out for you:
L-O-W S-E-C-U-R-I-T-Y S-P-A-C-E. Read that out, low security space. Just one more time, come on, LOW SECURITY ******* SPACE.
YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE 100% SAFE IN LOW SECURITY SPACE. What the hell do you think it means? I'll give you a clue, it does not mean "100% super-safe space to do missions in completely unhindered, making buttloads of riskless isk space."
Now I know what you're going to say, but again: The above paragraph is what low security space IS NOT.
I sincerly hope you bugger off sooner rather than later, as this has become intolerable.
PS. Sorry to the mods for this trolling, but giving the stupidity of the OP, it's all I can do. Sorry.

Maybe if you actually played the game insted of *****ing on the forums you'd notice that this isn't griefing.

I totally agree. All pirates are idiots and should not be allowed to play the game, CCP just allows it because they want the cash coming in every month. Missiles are so worthless against small ships. I totally agree 100%.
Originally by: Eltigre I think CCP should allow L4 missions to be done within gun range of Starbase POS setups so griefers can't crash the party but apparently CCP doesn't have anybody on staff who plays the game and therefore has never run into griefers like I have several times.
Yep, no one from CCP plays the game. None. Not one.
Originally by: Eltigre Let's be honest about this folks. Allowing Player Pirates to warp-in and f_ck you over while doing a L4 mission is nothing less than griefing. Ok, so you go from "pirating shouldn't be allowed" to "change NPC tactics" in the same paragraph. Sir, I salute you.
Originally by: Eltigre Then there's the STUPIDITY of placing L4 Kill Missions in low-sec space that baffles my mind. I agree with this again, there's no way you should have to exert ANY risk whatsoever to do your missions. It's wrong that CCP should make you go to "unsecure" space to make ISK. Serious design flaw if you can't rake in tons of ISK while being totally safe.
Originally by: Eltigre Hey, CCP, if you wanted to make this game UNPLAYABLE in low-sec space well I think you have achieved that nicely.
Who would have though... low security space might be... I dunno... dangerous?
Originally by: Eltigre EVE could be fun for all if only CCP would allow it to be fun for all. As it is EVE is only fun for a few who want to live as a gang-banger or a rape-gangster.
Now I was all happy and joking untill I saw this garbage. If you think you can call anyone who plays the game differently a "gang-banger" or a "rape-gangster" you sir, are a complete fool. If you don't find EvE fun, unsubscribe, I'm sure no one would give a ****.
Originally by: Eltigre Give me and mine the same advantages as the typical rape-gang in EVE and maybe I'll stick around throwing my money into CCP's pockets - otherwise my interest is waning and will cease to fund CCP before too long.
You have the same advantages, but you chose to come onto the forums, ***** and complain when things didn't go your way, and use blatint lies to try and make pirates look like horrible people who have no sense of honor or ethics. If you had half a brain, you'd be smart to watch yourself in this "unplayable" low security space. Keep an eye on local, don't use what you can't afford to loose, and if you get killed by a group of pirates, live with it. At least be mature enough to handle the fact that you got completely owned, and not have to come and ***** about it here.

No but the assertion was that low-sec space is supposed to be dangerous for those who choose to be in low-sec space. I am perfectly safe against a fairly heavily armed armada when sitting within the force field of my POS in whatever 0.4 syatem I can place one in and keep it fueled. |

Guess you never read the risk vs reward threads that crop up.
I do missions in low sec, and to be honest having pirates around makes it more fun, not less.
Conversely there are plenty of agents who never send you to low sec.
Quote: All the fun parts of the game are inacccessible to all of us expect for the favored few in-game.
Does that mean i am one of the favoured few? Wow i feel so special. Every path and everything you might want to do is open to you if you have the drive to do it. It is unfortunate that you lost your ship, but at the end of the day you ignored the big fat warning saying "If you go here CONCORD cannot protect you." Its not CCPs fault at all, it is yours.
Also whats this about POS and low sec it made no sense and had me and my clique quite confused.

I ...am in shock!!
Jesus Christ, why are you playing this game. The reason why people are playing this magnificent ONLINE game called EVE, is that you get to INTERACT with REAL PEOPLE from all around the world.
What you want, is an online game where there is no potential threat = no other players online Why don't you play X3 or some other single-player game instead? This game is, as all the other guys have said, very focused on PvP, Player vs Player, mmkay?
So, if you want to do your lvl4 missions in peace, go to some high-sec system and do them, because there are lvl4 agents everywhere!
Don't cry on the forums like that, and especially not on the part of the forums that is mainly read and answered by pirates...

But that still has got nothing to do with being pirated? POS's got put in because they wanted to take alliance/sovereignty wars to new levels, they also work as moon miners and safespots (if one choose to use them this way).
Why you use them as an excuse to argument your "low security should be safe (otherwise CCP wouldn't have implemented POS)" idea is beyond me.
Also, note that I said low security space was not meant to be 100% safe. I did at no point say that it was supposed to unsafe everywhere, as it clearly is safe to be inside a well-guarded and well-fueled POS.
By your logic one could argue that low sec is supposed to be safe, otherwise CCP wouldn't have made people able to dock in stations.
Am I getting through to you at all? Hello?

Okay then let me plant my Moon Mining POS's in high sec space so I can be close to them and play L4 kill missions at the same time.
Also I could care less what other people do in EVE so long as they leave me the f_ck alone like I leave them the f_ck alone. I don't bother them and they should not bother me.
Now I realize there are sociopaths in EVE and most of them are player rats who have to f_ck with as many people as possible because they cannot bring themselves to do this in real life so they do it in EVE where they are allowed to.
Maybe at some point I will get tired of tending my POS Towers in low-sec space but for now I rather enjoy it when noobs warp in near one of my POS towers and they find out they can't just warp away and "boom" goes their little ships. I admit it, this is fun for me while it lasts. |

The crap he's spouting out is so obviously incorrect, I severely doubt even a retard could take it seriously. Hence why he's saying it, trying to make himself look a right fool, get some forum posts up saying how retarded he is.
I was in two minds after his first thread, but now I have no doubt in my mind this is just some...strange person trying to get a few laughs by watching the replies.

Slightly deranged troll or not, this guy has entertained me no end. I was saying only the other day to some of the other turbies that I never get the hatemails they do. Then this happened... ----------- Join channel 'Turby' Today! (and bring pie) Apparently this is an exploit. Go figure.. |

"Slightly" deranged ? Why only "slightly" ? What must I do to be considered completely deranged ? Hmmm ? |

The sheer idiocy in the OP's post is at ridiculous levels.
Fraknly, EVE would be better if you left. Can I have your stuff?
