Catagory : Leadership
Skill : Swarm Warfare - Enables Swarm bonuses in specific ships during gang warfare. Grants a 1x multipler to the effect of the swarm bonus, per number flying the same ship in your gang.
Only the bonus of the gang member with the highest level in this skill is used.
+1 multipler per level.
Rank 12
Required Skills Leadership lvl 5 Spaceship command lvl 5
1 ship, per class in every race would have a specific bonus.
For example. Rifter swarm bonus - 0.5% damage increase. Vexor swarm bonus - 500m drone range or drone speed Stabber - 1% MWD capacator reduction Raven - 1% Sheild Extender hp increase per level
At level 5 20 man rifter fleet would get a 75% damage bonus 100 man rifter fleet would get 240% damage increase and so on.
The reason? to encourage factional warfare and asymetical blob warfare and an attempt to rethink how numbers are used in blob warefare - also to highlight racial fighting styles directly effecting tactics in a productive, positie way that favors newer pilots to be just as valuble in a group. This can be changed or balanced in other ways, eg, having a max 100% increase with the effect difference between 10 and 20 pilots being alot more than the difference between 50 and 100.
I'd also like to see a tier 2 destroyer with a major swarm warfare bonus as I think on paper, destroyers a conceptually great, but really suck in pvp, (even against most frigs.) Eg 1% bonus to statis webifier and warp scambling range. AND 1% bonus to all turrets maxium range and fall off. Yarrr

I think it may enhance inter-class warfare. But on the other hand, if there are engagements which include a few ships, only the ships with the swarm bonus will be used.

it is nice, but instead of using one type of ship to count into the swarm, it should affect all the ships of the same race, this is: a swarm is a group of minmatar ships, which can be 3 claws, a pair of bellicose t2 ships and 5 tempests. -----------------------------

Then it kinda goes against the point of the whole thing. It promotes the use of a specific type of ship in larger numbers than anything else, leading to aysmmetrical warfare occuring more often than not - instead of just the BS vs BS blobs we have atm.

Lag Management For every rank you train you gain 0.2% CPU priority from which-ever node is processing your character.
This skill can only be trained by characters who are over 12 months old and are NOT currently in a NPC corporation. -- select * FROM posts (nolock) where clue > 0 -- 0 rows returned |

true, though in larger engagements it encourages the use of escort squadrons to support capital ships ========================================== Passive target lock is my friend. i swear by it. others swear at it. |
