Well they decided to use a slow battleship fleet that couldn't project dps at 250mm rail range,
Tbh rvb didnt have enough feroxs to 1-2 volly a proper fit bs so they must of been slow on broadcasting for reps lel |

(we were cutting reinforcements with our 6 man gang ensuring every single kill was a double kill) but as far as I heard...the selected tactic against a group of long range feroxes seems was not really the best (specially considering the logistics issues). RvB on other hand had a much better established logi group there. Also they were not using Geddons and domis, so the guy you quoted was right... not the correct battleships to counter that. Pity eve mechanics ensure every fight escalates in a concentration of several dozens of ships, with no chance of spreading. It would have been an incredibly fun afternoon if the mechanics promoted fleet spliting ( POCOs havign 1/8th of their current EHP would be a great start)
People act as if having your logi going suspect on a gate is suicide, We do it all the time with nuet logi fighting war targets.
If anyone at the gate trys to kill the logi after the fights over they just deagress and jump since 99% of people in highsec are so dumpster they dont put one guy on the other side to catch them. and even if they did the logi have broken ec-300 drones :) |

You do nor know how things work between the major merc groups. It is a very deeply rooted behavior to not make your logis suspects near each other... the fingers tickle too much I think... At the end integration between 6-7 groups is far far harder than between blue and red alliances (that already basically operate same way most of time and can easily coordinate). Also putting each and every one on that fight under same umbrella is not fair. Each group had a distinct result...
The real problem is most mercs in the war refuse to tempblue each other for the fights due to childish grudges from taking contract on each other and have pissing contests.
