Man, this thread. Let me inject some sanity by giving both GSE and marmite (and all the other mercs) props for taking the fight.
How did "all the mercs" end up involved on the same side of this war by the way? is it a contract or were you just collectively bored and decided to have some fun with us? |

This is the first time all the mercs joined forces with GSE and even dropped some wars between us. This alone, for me personally, is worth a victory dance . I watched the 45 min youtube, made by one of the RvB guys and loved it! I didn't care much about losing a bs. I had a lot of fun doing so. More then killing a freighter full of loot. We have learned our lessons from round 1, but this isnt over yet . Remember, all the RvB wars Marmites had so far, we won against RvB. And I think most of the other mercs did too. But we did that in our own way of fighting and not against RvB fleets, as we know that's where RvB's strength is. Many of you have been telling how unfair it is and now we finally take RvB on fleet vs fleet and you still cry about it. This post should be "YES, GREAT!!, finally you have a nice fleet fight with RvB. And please give the rest of the fleet some good credit. This wasn't Marmites vs RvB. Most of them were GSE and almost all other respected highsec mercenary alliance joined in. https://zkillboard.com/war/375442/https://zkillboard.com/war/375444/
Why are all the mercs friendly with GSE? Genuinely curious, I had never heard of them before. Anyway, you're right that if you go back to your strengths you'll win this war too (isk wise anyway). I see it as a Darwinian process teaching our guys to be more aware of their surroundings. |

Alright, let's stop this pissing contest and agree that marmite and pursuit of happyness and the other mercs are good at what they do and RvB is good at what we do. I'm not counting on us being ahead ISK wise by the end of the week so let's calm our horses eh? It's not exactly a surprise that we're better at large scale engagements, we've gone and fought Euni and brave newbies enough time to have it down by now. Still, I fully expect to see a lot of face palming losses on our part once marmite and friends go back to doing what they do best.

RvB fields a nasty nasty ferox fleet doctrine
We love our feroxes, used them the first time against eve uni in our last annual war against them. Its more newbie friendly than pretty much anything else we could come up with (works with t1 guns) and still scary good. It does have several counters but its cheap and effective. |

Can we go back to talking about how great feroxes are? Your bickering is giving me a headache. |

If you think RvB is anything like Eve Uni you are very much mistaken, they have fought Eve Uni many times in Low / Null sec and always won. People don't give RvB as much respect as they deserve, actually someone from RvB post some battle reports from Euni.
Ivy League is actually better than RvB Red Fed(31 bil) vs Ivy(30 bil)Blue Rep(23 bil) vs Ivy(28 bil)RvB killed 54 billion Ivy League Ivy League killed 58 billion RvB Case Closed. Ivy League is better.
That was a fun war! Best one yet. Wait am I supposed to enjoy wars that come out close?

we're so off topic here I might as well take the opportunity to point out that EUni has made giant strides pvp wise recently. This most recent war (we have one once a year or so), they went toe to toe with us and gave as good as they got. It was epic and the most fun either corp had had in a war.
I should ask them if they want to join us in fighting the mercs ;P |

Jesus that killboard banner. I'm both impressed and a littler bit disturbed by it. Bravo to whoever came up with it. |

RvB wont pod me as i'm to good to not be podded. Look up on my killboard on how often i get killed or podded. I'm not afraid of anyone trying to pod me
Jesus, delusional much? Doesn't matter how good you are, what if your kid starts screaming at the wrong time (admitedly that happens to me a lot) or your power goes out or a packet loss gives you a lag spike at the last moment?
Anyone who thinks getting podded in high is impossible is delusional. Its not likely, and it's usually avoidable, but **** happens man.
I don't think I've ever been podded in high, but I'm not arrogant enough to think it can't happen.

We probably should have refused to engage and waniited for the timer so we could form properly, but that's not really in our nature :) |

RVB won the ISK war because they don't fly anything but T1 for the most part.
Some would say that's the smart way to fight a war. Now even if we lose a couple ferox fleets we'll still be well ahead isk wise. |

I was more leaning towards how the OP was creating the idea of Marmie getting "dunked" when it truely was not a "Dunk"/"#REKT" type of engagement.
Yeah well there's a lot of people not affiliated with either sides of this war saying a lot of silly things. The funny part is that the actual combatants have had a rather civil conversation and its all the outsiders shouting and bickering :D |
