ran into a few abandoned stations and was wondering if they are there just for added eye candy or if there is somre purpose for them. caught me off guard too. though that they were POS for a sec. which would have been bad. |

Eye candy. The only exception I know of is the one in Crielere, and that got junked in an event.
Of course, they could all have showed up in events which I didn't here about

Yes, I was wondering about this too since there is no background provided. Several destroyed Gallente stations near Jita too. I assume it's leftovers of the war, but the backstory is yet to be found...

That would require new story archs... and they're having enough trouble with the old ones.

I can't see any point in the Creile one being reused, but you'd think Rabbit would've had it nuked to hell by a Guristas Strike force or something...

There used to be a station in the Eve gate system that didn't show up on the overview, it was a real working station too. Only way to find it was to use the scanner to pinpoint the direction and fly to it with MWD's, I thought it was a pretty cool feature but apparently it was nothing more than a bug that got fixed later on =/

EVE could do with a lot more s****y features like that one. Too bad it was only a bug. :C
