So looking at today's updated map how come Chimp lost territory? Did they hand it over to Lotka Volterra?
I'm just all very confused about it.

By the looks of they map, yes they handed it over, and it wasn't a hostile take over ofc, because they're allied.
I don't really know why they handed it over, tbh.

The chimp corps that lived in detorid joined LV, the main corp in chimp now HASTE lives in the immensea stations

Corps that moved to LV that were founding members of CHIMP took with them the Detroid region. CHIMP is operating out of Immensea. There was no hostile take over or anything of the sort. It was simply the right way to hand off what rightfully belonged to member corps of CHIMP that were moving on to LV at the time. And yes... CHIMP is still a coalition ally. :)

From the beginning CHIMPs were slaves of LV. So such outcome was quite expectable. Combat ready corps moved into LV and the rest are mining slaves of them now.

If I'm not totally wrong, CHIMP were the first in this current war against RED, when they started to attack RA in Detorid and tried to claim that region as a home for their newly created alliance.

Pretty amazing how everytime there is something positive on galnet about LV, a Red Alliance member comes and tries to make a fuzz. It doesnt work on LV. So stop trying.
But then again, you have nothing better to do, no home to defend, no complexes to run....

For the sake of historical accuracy....sorry but no.
CHIMP was created before LV.
CHIMP initiated conflict with RA over the ownership of the Detorid region before LV was formed.
CHIMP had won control of 0-w and dg- before LV was formed.
