Yes, it's only one (or two, if you have the problem with not being signed automatically) more click, but it's a sad fact that people will avoid reading something if it takes more effort than the absolutely necessary (yet, ironically, this people go into loads of effort to whine about their menial problems).
You misread the reason behind the Blog and the response not being on the same page...
Its called PR ... The Blogs used to have the responses on the same page... but that can lead to very bad PR if the list of responses is overly negative... so they prevented responses on the same page as the blog...
And moved to a forum reply that links (very badly as it takes 3-4 attempts to get it) to the blog... avoids Mr and Mrs journalist reviewing the web site to see too much of the whines after the blog...

Originally by: Tachy Someone said he got a popup for his active petitions when he logged in.
I did as well... popped up with the 'is this still active' autoreply... so I I replied that it was...and am now ready to wait another month... for another autoreply asking me if the petition is still active...
Since this is a reimbursement petition linked to that Friday during which they urgently patched concord during DT due to concord not reacting to aggression in empire under specific circumstances, I suspect by the Time GM Noob reviews this 2 months after the incident and either has no clue of what happened that day or isn't inclined to check properly... I can pretty much already tell you what my response will be initially...
'Blah blah blah ...sorry we checked the logs and there is no instance of the events you mention, according to our logs you were concordokken for killing an alliance mate in empire... blah blah blah , we are very glad to help, call on us at anytime ! (sic)'
From there on its either you have extreme patience to explain over and over what happened until someone who recalls the incident knows where and what to check ... or you loose patience and they claim they resolved the petition...
Can you tell I'm not impressed ?
edit: For the record the petition was filled in early June... yeah 1 month ago... I don'#t usually get excited until 2 weeks elapse... I don't petition often and I know what to expect... but a full month to get an automated reply... I checked the calender... no its not the 1st of April... so what is this ? Are you trying to build a case study for HBR on the worst CRM service ever ?

Tell us you didn't petition because an exploit didn't work.

No I petitioned because the fix they implemented also had the rather uncool effect of being concordokken when shooting valid war targets in empire under specific circumstances after that DT
And I lost a 500M curse to that silly fix side effect...

Edited by: Tas Devil on 12/07/2006 11:30:22 ATTENTION Kieron and wrangler the statement below is HUMOUR ... please take it as such...
@ avon... I do have to say that I would pay hard earned cash to see the GM's face if they ever received a genuine petition that asks for reimbursement because an exploit stopped working... you had me *****ed up with that reply...
edit apparently the other word for crevice is a bad word...

might want to stay on topic... its about GM's not coping in anyway shape or form with what could be seen as minimal CRM expectations... for various undefined reasons...
Unles they all come from Nottingham .... you're a bit off topic...
