I realize this question is incredibly stupid, but could some of you ubar dominix pilots share your favorite gate camping setup? Or even perhaps the most used? I'm rather confused on what the idea is of it, dps or tank, and how?

Is this solo, or in groups? I'll guess at a small BS group.
I haven't done it in quite a while but I'd setup with nos/neuts in the high slots with sensor boosters and tackling in the mids with a good tank in the lows. Let other ships do the damage, you can tackle and swipe their cap to stop some MWDs. Drones aren't so good under sentry fire.

Dont attempt to camp solo in a Domi, you dont have the DPS to kill anything bigger then a cruiser (your drones will be shot by sentry fire). If you want to take out haulers and small ships dual 250mm rails will do the job. In a gang go for a NOS setup.

If your going to use dual 250s, it may be a good idea to keep a fair few tech 1 light drones in your bay. If sentries are starting to hurt, and you still need to kill your target, jet some light drones and let them take the agro for a sec.
Obviously, I said tech one drones not tech two, because the sole purpose is for them to get killed. :P

Whenever I have to tank sentries in my Domi, I fill it with 75 light drones, and release them periodically to prop up my tank. Gate camping is not advised, though. best to get a megathron.

why not camp in a domi?? dowmi pawns i used jammers and nos and then tank large rep 2 hardners adptive nano 1600mm car recharger or damage mod
med 1 cap booster then 2 sensor boosters rest jammers
highs as much nos as you can get

But... where are you doing damage? sentries pop your drones, you know. You'll burn through 15 ogres in a couple of minutes. If you fill your highs with NOS, you don't have the fittings left to fit large rails, and mediums rails are not going to do much.

i think what you mentioned is a slight exaggeration, sentries cycle, he has roughly say 30 seconds to pop a hauler which can definitly be done in probably more closer to 15 seconds using just t1 heavy's. Id fit Nos/Heavy neut, 2 sb's a named painter and 2 warp disruptors aggro the gate before releasing the drones. If you have an insta to a station you can re-stock on drones once the system dries up with victims or whilst your still flagged.
Trial and error i dont think your lose as many drones as the above poster states but let us know after you tested it out.

I could not disagree more. T2 heavies will rip through the tank of a Raven or Apoc with ease. I've done it many times. Say hi to Tatz for me.

Or use Sen Drones, there stronger, don't need to move to the target, just drop and pop !

You havent camped alot in empire have you. Sentries will pop your drones in about 30sec, see how much DPS you got then.
