what is exactly broken with mining? don't do it wouldn't know? and for you example, asteroid don't exactly move, so tracking really wouldn't come into the equation...

so yeah give to them at least small thermic dmg tracking lik 125mm rail and ability to shoot !!!!

mining lasers pwned my velator 
on the other hand its a good idea, omen will pwn with its -33% to (mining)laser rof and geddon omfg...ammar will be king of the carebears!

Hey and stripminers will strip away your ship modules?
Darn nice idea, uber killer hulk strips you off your blasters, launchers, nos etc. Leaving you in naked ship.

Along this line of thinking more than once I wished I could scoop a pesky interceptor buzzing my hauler into my cargo hold. THAT would be fun!
