Ive been playing eve since Sept 2003 and you could say im a regular everyday player. Ive been in several corps, one and the best being Freeks.. a big shout to all the pilots ive flown with and fought against in my time with them.. Freeks disbanded in December 2005 and I have been with a couple more corps since.. Another corp being "Inish" which is made up of old corp mates and new friends.. But having grown a little tired of PVP'ing I decided to take a break from losing more ravens than I care to remember, so broke away to begin carebearing in empire and generally seeing a side of Eve I'd not seen since I started the game. A new corp was formed, now nothing new about my story so far.. Im sure many have done it before and many more will follow.. Creative Industry was not going to offer anything new.. no fantastic formula to get rich quick... just a helping hand to new players starting their eve careers... I would like to think that over the three years ive picked up a little bit of game knowledge,, after all Ive flown side by side with the mighty Iron Maiden !(5o5)... and now i wanted to pass this info onto new players... Im not rich by a long shot.. and neither is the my corp.. Ive always had a soft spot for shinny things and Eve is full of them.. so over the years ive spent my isk on things to keep me happy... and why not ! Ive made enemies during my time, pirating is an old bed pal of mine.. but only for a short time... Solusar from Auctoritan Syndicate (CVA)has had many an engagement with our fleets... these where great fun and truly testing times as he's one hell of a pilot ...but ive not upset enough people to hold a grudge and come looking for me months down the line.. have I ?? So onto present day and back on track to the current war I find myself in.... Transmission I received on the 10th July at 23:25 hrs eve time.. Joey1 > Hello Joey1 > My name is Joey Joey1 > We currently have a war dec waiting on your corp Joey1 > I want 2 mill or we will proceed with action against your corp Joey1 > this would create a 2 mill per week fine against your account marillian > for what ? Joey1 > I cannot explain my reasons marillian > then do it marillian > byeeeeeeeeeeee Joey1 > Will do sie Now, nothing unusual about this I here you say... but wait... 2 million isk !! this must be wrong ... Nope, this corp wanted 2 million isk from me... did joey1 not check my employment history and length of time playing or is he just a noob and aimed low hoping for a quick payment.. I dont want to get into a smack talking contest.. but I was a little insulted.. 2 MILLION !!! surely I must be worth 200 million to ransom.. ( ill spend it before you get chance to do it, so dont ) To top things off my old CEO Tethis (Inish) convo'd Joey1 and asked him nicely to retract ( maybe not ) and this guy started to stumble a little.. but instead said he would settle for 1 million from me to retract ! OMG..... The War started on the 11th July at 23.29hrs and I was prepared for a camp and my poor noobs to suffer at the hands of this rascal and his band of evil do'ers.. but no... so a search was made and I found him in Agil.. urmm 19 jumps away... maybe their sneaking up here slowly... So I convo'd him... Joey1 > Hey marillian > just wondered if you where gonna come fight ? Joey1 > nah marillian > can you retract war then Joey1 > i will do in about a week when it auto retracts marillian > kk Im sorry for boring you with this tale, but I just could'nt believe someone wanted to ransom me for 2 million !! If he askes for more from you, I DONT WANT TO KNOW ! Marillian hangs his head in shame..............

After removing him from his ship he evemails me threating me later on when he gets better at the game. after reading this story by marillian i am now worried i may have brought the wrath of the Hitchhikers upon my corp. sorry Riven for the possible war dec. and the possible destruction of foff.

Well at least he did'nt ask for 2 million this time... I can only hope that he comes out to fight and is not just war dec'ing corps for the fun of it... Is there a specific formula for working out ransoms, or has this guy just plucked a figure out of his head?? CID was set up to help noobs get a foot hold in the game so why attack us Ill never know, only that we are an easy target and he's able to boost about his kills to future clients, although that aint many atm.. The "auto - you've not paid the bill" war retract came into force two days ago... Hitchhikers did manage to lose several corp members who up sticks and joined other corps...
