Subject says it all. I don't care about the details....
Some of us can't be arsed to buy / configure other software for this and a game with this good of graphics and gameplay should have it's own way to make movies.

I want it to make coffee too.
No, wait, on second thought a coffee maker would do the job better and reduce the strain on Eve. ----------

Edited by: Dark Shikari on 13/07/2006 10:03:46 There have been many attempts (some for-pay) to make a program better than FRAPS. They've failed. So why should CCP spend money to integrate a program that will be worse than FRAPS when FRAPS already exists?
What would make sense is an event recorder that could record command data (high level commands) in order to recreate scenes in a playback system. However, even that sort of system is very rare nowadays.

A simple demo program(For example the one that Half-Life etc has) that simply records incomming packets into a file and replays them in order would do the job just fine. EDIT: and I mean that it plays it through the engine, not an .avi file or anything.

I support both ideas! The impact on fps shouldn't be so high so you could make nice movies instead of the pink-boxes vs. red-boxes as it's now _____________________________ - be excellent to each other -
