I have 1 unit Complex Fullerene Shard which i don¦t need. The one with the highest bid will get it if it¦s worth it.
It¦s stored at Kino.
I have a special offer which i think noone is willing to take: You get the CFS immediately if you give enough isks to be able to buy a Machariel ( or you give it to me as a bonus). :)

I'd like to know more too. All I can see is it is a piece of something Jovian.
Also, a search that last year a character names Jesus was desparately looking for one.

it was from some event over a year ago , some jove got tore into thousands of peices if i remember right and everyone ended up with a few bits of jove crap in there hanger.
the event was handing them in to certain officials if i remember right , the 10 people/corp who handed the most bits in got a reward which i think was some cloak bpc's before the bpos were seeded.

Jove event was the 1 year anniversery of Eve online. Brief History follows from my point of view:
Each account owned logged on to find 1 random body part and 1 Complex Fullerene Shard in their hangar of their last active player. These were then sold or traded to complete the Jovian Quest of getting all of the body parts back to clone the Jove that got blown up. Each empire "sponsored" the event and asked for a certain body part type to be collected. All empires collected skin. As I remember the Amarr was blood and skin. I don't remember the other combinations.
I managed to collect 1020 units of Jove Skin parts for my corp. at the time (Sol'Invictus) and we turned them into the Amarrian Authorities to try and gain favor for the Jove. However, the Caldarians collected the most lots and got the Jove standing bonus over everyone else. However, we were left with all the Complex Fullerene Shards with the Devs saying they would be used in a future event.
The details were my corp farmed up 500 units off from the blood raiders and I ended up purchasing small lots of 20 to 40 units off from other corps for a grand total of about 260M isk to complete the lot (a huge sum back then). The reward was 20 prototype cloaking units and a 20 run bpc to convert them to advanced cloaking unit 2s. I built all the prototype cloaking units into the advanced cloaking units.
Then our CEO and 2 directors each got a free cloak. I sold 4 on the market for 60M isk each to recover the isk outlay. Then made it first come first serve 10M isk each for corp memebers to buy. Surprisingly I only had 12 members of the corp come forward and want the cloaks - so I purchsed the remaining one on top of the one I was already buying. The 120M isk collected went into the corp. wallet.
That is the history of the Jove event from the view of Sol'Invictus Corp.
I still have my can of 22 Fullerene Shards left over from the event. - and no they are not for sale.
