Charon has a bigger hold
the obelisk is more popular because lots of people fly Iteron Vs, and one of the prerequisites for the obelisk is Gallente Industrial V- also the prerequisite for the itty V. ____________________________________________________________

Fenrir is probably the best due to its speed. Most times you haul with a freighter, you won't haul with a full cargo hold anyways.

Providence is certainly one of the coolest looking ships in Eve...

The providence is a bit like the forgotten freighter.
The Charon is the one with the biggest cargohold. The Fenrir is the fastest one. The Obelisk has the most common skill route, shared with the itty V.
However, besides looking cool, and being just as good as the others, the providence doesn't stick out in any department.

I dont think it really matters which freighter, no slots, speed is not significant enough to make diffrent avoiding cate camps, or reaching destination 5 mins earlier? come on.
Go with your skills - whichever you are closest. Thats said, Providence is the best looking, and thats a bonus :) ------------------ Tired of fleet combat lag? -Post HERE

Charon gets my vote not just because of it's expansive nature... I think it is one of the best looking ships in EVE.
heck, I'm training caldari indy just so I can fly one now I just need to figure out if I am going to put my gallente freighter book on escrow or not

Charon is better, because a freighter is all about hauling..."How much can you haul?"kinda thing, but if you already have the skills for an iteron 5 theres no reason to let that go to waste.

He he, the Providence does stick out.
Compared to the other freighters, it has roughly 25% more hull !
I d call that a bonus when you cant fit any mods. ________________________________________________

it's not going to waste, I love my iteron 5, my occator and my viator are about as keen as they could get but... the obelisk doesn't look anywhere near as good as a charon.
How many people in game took one look at a megathron and said, "I have to fly that ship." ( a damn sexy looking ship if I may say so) I feel that same way about a charon.
In all honesty I most likely will train up for the obelisk but that will just be a studder step until I can get into a charon. I'm a sucker for logistics... now if it wouldn't take me 6 months to train up for a carrier (the logistics motherlode but, slightly less so since the skiff nerf)

If you aren't far off an ob then get an ob... no reason to get a cheron unless you want to also use the caldari transport ships too.
