Heyyyyy,
Rockets...is the only ship that gets a bonus to their range the crow? Do you find rockets really viable on any ship in EVE at the moment?
I like rockets. Short range...fast firing...cool stuff. Always liked rockets in every game that has them (barring FPS...those aren't cool rockets). Spamming rockets in the general direction of my enemy has always been an awesome interest.
As for the T2 rockets, are these the only practical rockets that can be used in EVE effectively? I like rocket spamming, and I don't really hear about rockets being used on any ship other than a MWDing kestrel or the Crow. Are rockets lame? =(

iirc with good skills can't T1 rockets get to like 6km or something, and like twice that or more on T2 rockets?
I think rockets aren't heavily used on most bigger ships, because its harder to maintain range where they work, in a larger ship.
I have a short range merlin setup that uses rockets, and my Ares (lol, like I actaully ever fight in that...) has them fitted as well, and it works nicely ... well, did the one or two times I actually did try fighting in it, when I first got it)
on a totally different note, it was really cool, way back once upon a time, rocket launchers only held 3 rockets at a time, but it'd fire all 3 like half a second apart, then reload, ... it was totally different than now, but honestly this works better.

rocket crow + plates > all other intys exept maybe blasterranis ;)

both crow and Flycatcher (t2 destroyer/interdictor) have the +50% velocity, allowing T1 rockets to hit 15km with max skills.
Course the crow's got 3 launchers and the flycatcher has 6, but who's counting ;-)

The crows bonus follows through on the caracal and the cerberus. The cerb has a specific light and heavy missle bonus, but the caracal doesn't. Might be worth a try...

tbh your much better with t2 heavy's tho. Precision bend over ceptors with great hilarity.

Ahh....the caracal says it gets a Missile velocity bonus not rocket. Flycatcher says it gets a missile and rocket bonus. Is it safe to assume the caracal does get a bonus to rocket velocity?
The Flycatcher looks like the most viable rocket-platform in the game at the moment...would be nice if it could tank while doing that though. Maybe I'll give it a shot after I'm done getting recon ships hehe.
Anyone else ever try doing a rocket spamming beast?

heavy rockets are being developed i think. those will be fun.

well i did notice the destinction, but as its the same bonus readout as the crow, and the crow does get that bonus i *assume* that it follows through. Its only 5 mil buy one ya cheapskate :D

Actually I tried an Ares v Crow recently (and not by outranging) and it worked much better than I thought ... I was impressed.

The boni on the Hawk apply to rockets too.

If you put rockets on a ferox i'm war deccing again lisento Dont do it dude, ferox's are close range cheapo tank and missles or long range poor man eagle.

We're making enough people angry as it is where we are right now....that's a different topic.
I'm thinking a gimped out "Rockrox" is in order. I will have to put one on order for 50% less than market value and wait a few days...because I *am* a cheapskate =P

I use rockets on my Crow, but I wish there were higher capacity launchers. I'd give extra powergrid or whatnot to have that.

The problem with putting rockets on larger ships, is that Assault launchers do just as much damage at 3 times the range. |

but they use almost no powergrid
I use rockets on my close range gank rupture, rage rockets do nice damage to cruisers and bigger targets

Yeh the one thing that ****es me off with rockets is the ammo capacity. You lose a lot of dps just reloading.
