I got my first experience with pirates - Space Invaders. I was travelling to Todaki to sign up for a corporation I wanted to join. I jumped into this system (some 0.4 system in The Forge) saw a bunch of Space Invaders in the local channel.
I actually though "neto - I get to experience pirates".
Now I had heard them say they were true honorable pirates so I figured they would stop me and make me pay isk for passage.
When I got to the gate I lagged out really bad (drones? there were several of them floating around). Then I got targetted and they started to fire on me and blew up my ship.
Then they locked my pod but warped away just as they did. I then asked them why they blew up my ship and they said they blow up all newbie ships?
Well I asked them to let me pass and I would pay them. Then they said they would just let me pass for free with out harm if I did it in my pod.
Well I listenned and got my pod destroyed. Then I got a tell saying Thank You for shutting up.
I have no problem with being podded. But please don't go lying on these boards on how your real pirates like you say you are. At least other pirate type groups say who they are like moo from what I have read - they just kill you and take your stuff thats left.
In this case you just killed for the fun of it. Don't be poser pirates. Be men and just say your gate killers.
Like I am any kind of challenge to begin with.

Maybe if someone could tell me how to get a "chat" log would help?

They pop newbie ships for security reasons.
A_guy05 in a newbie ship could be an advance scout from some pirate hunting party come to scout out the fleet's strengths and weaknesses. If they pop you before you can get an accurate readout, you can't report back to the attack fleet.
(Of course, there are ways around that too, but I will continue with my tradition of not discussing details ).

I love reading post after post of people who simply can't believe they were killed by a pirate corporation.
Why don't you see any posts that are so heated discussing other people who are doing their jobs:
"I jumped into an asteroid belt the other day, and there was a miner sitting there. Totally unprovoked he just opened up and started mining ore out of this asteroid. He didn't ask for a toll or anything, just activiated his lasers as soon as he had a lock. I can't believe this guy calls himself a real miner. Real miners wouldn't sit in belts, they would wait at stations or jump in points for the asteroids to come to them! This is total bull****."

I had an experience with Space Invaders. They are a joke! Especially Trap and J3TT. They actually tried to take out my MOA in a couple of Frigs. They would up running like the lying pussies they are. The bottom line is this; unless they are in a huge pack, they are wimps. The problem is, they know this so they are usually in huge packs. Losers. Mwahahahahahaha.

I see they used the drone lag inducing exploit, surprising, knowing that SI has so much honor, seriously, now that we all know SI is just anothe "m0o" type exploit group, don't even bother, petiton the devs about their exploit usage, log off and wait, check back in an hour.
Or if you are a noob that has your Eve experience ruin as if you are a security risk, while in empire space (since empire space has a flaw that SI exploits now), cancel the subscribtion, and resubscribe in a month or two.
CCP will pay attention to their wallet, and deal with the exploit users harshly, leaving Eve to the rest of us.

Last time I passed through a jump point ambush there were 6 or so battlships all with drones launched and floating around. My screen loaded before my ship started to autotarget back. CCP really should have announced it a bit louder that they had cut down on the lag caused by drones drastically. You'd have to have read one of the CSM logs to catch Furhy stating such.
Oh and by the way, that was a CFS ambush that was waiting for a pirate that had logged out at that position.
Now don't you have some high school freshmen to disappoint with their first experience or something?

And we're at war with about 3/4 of the universe, while JEDI is trying to suck its way out of the NVA KOS list.
In the meantime, they havent even shot down a shuttle of ours, while i personally shot down a few of their cruisers, the ones that i could catch that is (most of them run on sight).
They just declared war on us out of stupidity when i personally pirated a few of them, but we appreciate it. it'll be pretty fun to shoot them down in 1.0 systems (if we can find them that is)
And i would show them some respect, but they talk smack on local constantly, and they are VERY rude, so they dont deserve it.

"when Cyberdyne something decalred war on JEDI with those bounties, I allready got asked to pod them and share the money.
Says enough if you'd ask me."
Yes - there needs to be an in-game feature to allow you to place bounty contracts out on people and their property (not related to security ratings). But the in-game log and screen shot is a pretty reliable method for confirmation.
If someone gets blown up and podded in a frigate or noob ship this lends a lot less credibility. But a pod is a pod. And if JEDI's corporate pride is that low this will be a fairly rapid task to complete. You can even spin the bounties around with ship insurance.
There are tons of ways you can turn the bounty. But it is more or less a way to put pressure on and add a little excitement to the whole ordeal. Plus true assassins and bounty hunter corps can actually earn some money for their trade.
I am rich. I do not ship manufacture so I have no need to buy expensive blueprints. I have plenty of bships to fly (more then I have the skills for - can't resist a good buy when I see one ). Might as well spend the money in a fun way.
Note the bounties are not indefinate. They are just until I can get on to play more actively in the next week or two (along most of my corp). Just playing mostly on Saturday or Sunday will not get the goals accomplished alone.

I wouldn't pay these guys 1 isk. They podded one of my corpmates, despite us having a nap with them and despite the fact that he paid them for passage. Then they have the balls to say they would give us a new nap if we give them some office space. There is little point in dealing with these guys as they don't honor their deals.

I'm fully aware of what happened. I was in chat with him and he as well as everyone else in my corp had a node crash. You guys must have logged back in and podded him before he got back. Either way, he had paid you your requested amount and crashed while you tried to shake him down for more. In any case after the crash I was not surprised that he did lose his ship and get podded. What did surprise me was when he told me who did it, as we had a nap with you guys. I took a big loss on a megacyte shipment to you guys not too long ago AND I was in negotiations to give you an office you guys had wanted. I wasn't even going to charge you guys for the office despite getting numerous requests from other corps that wanted the same space. I had told Kiana'tre that I had to wait till I had a chance to go out to that office and empty it out. Well I'm glad I never got a chance to do it as our nap with you guys apparently doesn't mean anything on the one time our paths happened to cross.
