As I was routing a complex factory planet today, I had an idea. When you open up the routing and are trying to decide where to route each product, maybe the processors can give you some sort of idea which ones are already routed.
So, here's the goal: 1. Click on a storage facility, pick a product to route 2. When the dialog box asking for the location shows up, you get feedback on each of the processors in three states:
- Green: that product is already routed here
- Red: that cannot be routed here
- Yellow: that product can be, but is not currently routed here from the original location
This would simplify a lot of mistakes, especially when you are routing from more than one place to the same destination. Who knows what I missed when I updated that planet? |

Much easier to set up routing, would be a very nice graphical information. Ideas threads: -á-áhttps://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=XXXXXXXX - Conquering POS's: 4756861 - Archeology & Lore: 4808758 - Features Contests: 4886282 |

Yes, setting up any PI operations is just a horrible experience.
It beggars belief that we just had an industry based expansion and this wasn't addressed at all. Don't Panic.

Hard to believe I am saying this, but I think that PI is outside the scope of industry. Still, it would be nice to have some changes here. |

PI is far more complex and dull than it should be Tech 3's need to be multi role ships not cruiser hulls with battleship tank and insane resists ABC's are clearly T2 in all but name.. remove drone assist mechanic. Nerf web strength ..... module tiercide FTW role based instead of tiers please. |

Amen...
We can only hope they won't wait to long...
2008 for WH. They are finally getting a refresh...
A lot of game features/mechanics are dated and need a look. Even small updates to stem us over tell we can have a larger patch would be nice. Like the OP has listed. xoxo Amarisen Gream |

After some epiphanies in the shower (what a place to think ah? hehe)
I thought about a neat expansion to this idea.
You open the routing window, it shows you the item list you can route, and to the right, the window expands. That expansion shows to possible destinations colour coded as the OP said.
The spin-off? You should be able to drag the items from the item list into the destination list, highlighting while you hover over a destination (that way you clearly see which one you are choosing).
Drop the item, a small window pops up asking for item quantity, confirm and all set! The route is complete and working. Ideas threads: -á-áhttps://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=XXXXXXXX - Conquering POS's: 4756861 - Archeology & Lore: 4808758 - Features Contests: 4886282 |

In my own personal codebase experience, I have found that drag and drop is significantly more difficult than it initially seems. Pi is complicated enough as is. That's why I'm looking at incremental changes. I'm afraid this is going to turn into POS reactions... |

Id say just make a links window, and have each of the named items available to link via dropdown. Alternately have it similar to the new industry window and I just have to name the source area For this perhaps just require the command center be included in the network and act as the distribution point with the database adding to silos, then launchpads as fill occurs |

POS reactions are already way easier than PI to set up and maintain. |

Agreed, except for the fact that there are columns on both sides and sometimes the left one works and sometimes the right one works, and you have to drag the correct one to the correct side with basically no idea ahead of time which is correct.
Do it a couple of times, and you've got it, but my baby steps comment is more in trying to keep the PI process as close to it is currently as possible for now. |

I'd like this, but I'd prefer they address the more immediate problem of arthritis resulting from the click-pocalypse which is PI. It isn't that hard to automate routes and shift-click/drag select multiple factories to install a blueprint. |

I want to pretend to be running PI and have 10,000 Marines in the Command Center waiting for Dusties but I suppose that's a bit off topic to what you are describing. |

^^ this - I was so excited to see an industrial overhaul, didn't affect anything industrial that I do, minus manufacturing. Bleh. That was already the easiest to use. I guess easier to update as well, |

It sure would be great if I didn't have to transfer corporate money in my personal account every time I need to go pick up PI. |
