I noticed a phenomina in EVE a while back. It seems that everyone I speak to can vividly remember the first person that killed them in EVE. Who was the first one to take your death virginity in EVE? I'll start it off by saying it was Solusar for me... someday I shall get him back for the destruction of my cormorant.

I believe that would be Danks. Its sad to say, but when we were but nublets, my first corp took a big fleet of frigates and a few cruisers out to lowsec space. We were all ratting together at once and Danks comes in with a Wolf and totally WTFPWNED everyone. Granted our "fleet commander" kept on warping us back and none of us knew about warp scramblers, so he was free to come in, smack a few of us around, warp out, and come back. I will always miss that Kestrel.

I was helping a buddy on a lvl4 mission and warped in before he did and i got killed in 8 seconds flat...i got killed by pirates in Ostingelle as I warped in from Stacmon.

took me quite by surprise, I was mining in aunenen(big mistake) and he just popped out of nowhere. Next thing I know I'm surrounded by drones and I'm warp scrambled then boom, there goes my ship. Then the next thing I knew, my pod goes squish

"wacky" popped my first pod ( and rupture :( ) he was gatecamping with a bhaalgorn. I escaped the first time and than scanned the gate and he was gone... when i warped back to the gate he had just returned too :( I thought to myself... why would this guy possibly want to shoot a newb in a t1 ruppie with t1 mods. Than i died.

Have the names of the two that killed me and then podded me but don't want to give them any credit as how much could it take to kill a person in the 10th day of the 14 day trial period as they emerge from a gate?
I suspect that their ammunition cost them more than my ship cost me.
Okay I was in an area that I probably shouldn't have been (0.4 space) and was noobin around but come on don't they have any sense of embarassment at all? I understand the idea. They are pirates (rar!). They are mean (boo!). They are evil (give me that lollypop kid). But really it takes no talent, no skill, no abilities and definitely no class to hang around a gate and pop some poor dumb ass that blunders through.

Technically it was Olyyy in a friendly fire incident, but i prefer to think of it as Peace Guard who shot down my moa on my first trip down to 0.0. :|

The evil KROM a few wks after I joined eve.
I spotted a really high mex buy price so sold everything I owned, bought a hauler full of mex and proceeded to get ganked by KROM raven at the buy station. Great scam... taught me a few lessons.

I was flying a brutix,in a 0.4 system, when in jumped by loader from the pirate coalition. I quickly forgot about the rats i was fighting, left my drones and made a jump to a gate via an insta i had made earlier. Doh, it was about 3 kms short, in jumped loader behind me and about 150kms outside the gate his m8 was snipin. The ass pasting lasted about 10 secs, insta podded after.

A player called Fattus podded me the first time, I was about 5 months old, and we got wardec'ed by this old mean pvp'ers called Demon Clan.
Guess I should thank him , cause I have pvp'ed ever since , and those guys gave me my first lessons

1st real loss though was my beautiful geddon. My 1st battleship, in good old Seylin. About a year and a bit ago, got tackled by a crow and some ravens warped in and showed me how its done.

Station Sentry guns, when i decided to kill a kessie that was -5 but actaully he was -4.9 something for 3 years ago :P you should know how hard i had worked to get the isk for that ship *cried*. Real first kill was Neur0n in Huff blasted my caracal with damped sentries in Hakonnen

Strangely enough as it may seem. I have never been podded since I started in January '05, and not for staying in safe space.
Lost a few ships? sure. My first ship I lost was a Kamikazi Kestrel to Concord whilst in the process of shooting an afk miner in 0.9 space who had a 100million isk laser equipped to his ship. I lost several kessies that night which culminated in giving the fellow a free trip back to his clone station, which I felt was the least I could do for such a generous donation to my budding pirate career.

On this character... no idea, since I wasnt the original owner.

I dont remember the first PC that poped my ship, May have been a dude in a Vexor with T2 drones in 0.0, not sure tbfh
What I remember is the first time I did Worlds Collide and got arse raped by the Coreli bastads. They are ebil I tell ya, I was feeling pretty invincible up to that point and got brought down to pod humbleness in a hurry by them !@$!@# NPCs
From then on I became a pirate, cause some Mission NPCs are smarter and more dangerous than carebears.

Blueberry Muffinman .. popped my cherry n00b-ass and my shiny new thorax .. worse I was on my way back from happily putting up an Enyo for sale that I had won on st0ra's EVE-Radio show that very day. Couldn't fly it .. I was like a two week old character and needed the ISK, I had bet 1/4 of my entire net worth on that one (winning) ticket.
I got away from him and his group at a gate camp the first time with "non-critical" damage and parked in a station, then instead of just hangin in station or logging till the wee hours and scampering away .. I tried to run the gate and he nailed me with a couple cruise missiles. Sent the usual n00bish hate mail etc.
But .. good things come from bad experiences, I was so impressed with the destructive power of those missles that I switched to training Calderi ships .. and missiles of course the same day.
One day .. I hope to be able to return the favor, and slip a couple up his tailpipe
Wouldn't that be delicious .. even if he pops me again.

Lord mix popped my pod and scorp around 18 months ago, I soon learnt that even with EW and the old school torps that when your gang runs away you should too :)
I think there was 4 Geddons on the kill mail :)

I was in a tristan and in a belt in a 0.4 system, it was then that I encountered my first HAC (An Ishtar). My ship naturally got wtfpwned and I saw in teh neighboring system people coming back from the system I was in when I got popped, about this guy gatecamping in an Ishtar. Ironic that the same ship that killed me is now my most favorite ship to do the same that was done to me.

mine was by jexter form jokers in my first ever war, they war decced us, i lost a kessie to his crow awsome, next day my new kessie popped a jokers hauler afk mining in a belt.
my first ever war and never mined since and do pvp everyday

After a month or so of noobish carebearing in safety of Mani, I decided to explore and map this waste desert called Providence.
All went well although slowly, me being a bit paranoid, until I run into a minor gate camp of couple fellows. I timidly shivered in my safespot, till Geoff told they'll let me pass.
He didn't, but at least I got my pod out. Die and learn, I hear.
One sweet day I'll learn the trade and get my revenge..

Strangely the first player in all of the 20,000+ populated world of EVE to pop me was the infamous Handon Guild while I was AFK hauling...yes I have learned a thing or two since then. Now I usually end up cornered at a station while hauling because I know how to use local, instas, and make quicker and better decisions when I see the flashing red appear on my overview.
I believe I'm allowed to post the killmail if I'm the victim, right? If not mods feel free to edit it out...

This guy did apparently. I was on a shopping trip in an executioner while at war and made it through 2 previous gate camps only to be popped in 1 volley by an arti-wolf. I've had a pretty poor track record fighting Minmatar ships ever since.

I want to say hans, but it wasn't hans roaming, it was another one if I recall. He was in a cruise missile crow, I was in a cruise missile kestrel. We sat there looking at each other for 5 minutes, then he attacked, got in, killed me, warped just before my cruise landed. Little while later I was in a cruise missile crow doing the same thing.

It was some M3G4 member who podded me the first time, during my time in Hooligans of War in 2004. We had a war and I had just lost a ship to them, outside a station. For some reason I decided to warp back to the station and there a crusader popped me. Since then I've died two times. Lost countless ships though.

I remember that, was one of my first solo kills actually (shortly after I attacked a pirate camp in aurohunen, killed a maller then ran from a thorax with 4.5% structure left). Dampner CTD bug didn't really give us a fair fight though did it

I actually managed to get myself into a cyclone before I was killed by a player for the first time. It was Skywalker at a gate sniper camp and I was mad as hell. There were no stations in the system so I warped my pod to a belt and started moving away from it. No smack just trying to decide what to do.
There were only three of us in local (me + him and a mate) and this is where it got better. He told me in local how I could've survived the gank and also let my pod go for a very reasonable price. Props.

zarquon beeblebrox in passari, just got my brand new vexor after mining for a full week in high sec (frig). I was taking it to dantumi to grab a medium railgun skillbook and she was camping the gate with some friends.
After losing my ship Zerobyte1, Liquid Silvar, and Death Wave all went down in battleships and fought them 3v3. Final count they lost 2 ravens and we lost nothing.

I only remember because at the time I had an IRL friend playing eve that I turned to for help (he is much older) and it turned out he was in the pirate corp that Wakka was CEO of. That, as you might imagine, was an interesting convo.
