As the topic says, we're recruiting.
AYDS is pretty much a small tight-knit crew of guys who have all played previous games together. We all played World of Warcraft- we were at the top of the game serverwide there (we were part of the guild Drama, first worldwide Nefarian kill/ always at the forefront of raid progression)- but we left due to the lack of PvP in that game. We've also played other junky games together along the way (some of us played Lineage 2, a couple of us played a text based MUD called Medievia). We decided to give EVE a try because of the PvP- so far, so good :).
As far as who we are in EVE.. we're not much yet. None of us have high SP counts, we've been playing for around 3 months- none of us really flies much more than a tech 1 cruiser. We do pretty well though, pirating nightly and managing to net a few kills. We are all very competitive and hate to lose, but the general atmosphere of the corp is very laid back. At the moment we float around low-sec pirating- we hope to move to 0.0 eventually.
About the corp name, before someone asks... yes it is a terrible name for a corp :(. It was like 2 am and everything we had tried was taken, somehow AYDS was born.
What we're looking for is basically-
-Someone who fits in with us. Have a sense of humor, don't take things too seriously. You're going to hear offensive things said on Ventrilo and in corp chat. Sexism/racism/ignorance are abundant. If you get ****ed off easily, AYDS isn't the corp for you.
-Have Ventrilo- a mic isnt extremely necessary if you can pay attention and at least listen to directions, but its preferred.
-Enjoy pirating/killing people
-Enjoy being a part of a small group. We're never going to be a giant zerg- at the moment we have 7 active members. We want to keep it small so that everyone knows they can count on everyone else.
-Don't talk a bunch of smack in local without being provoked. This isn't relevant when people take it upon themselves to talk smack to us first :P.
-Tons of experience/a high SP count aren't necessary. None of us are experts at the game, we learn something new every day.
-We are generally active from 5pm-2am eastern nightly. We start up earlier/play later on the weekends. Most of us have either half-assed jobs or don't work at all, so we're pretty active.

They are based in Metropolis Region, Hadozeko system. They gank 6:1 or 7:1 from Resbroko to Evati. They are a nuisance that the galaxy needs removed.

Just wondering who you played in medievia. I played med in 94 and 98-99 until Vryce gave me a god character to bore me out of the game so I would stop causing trouble.

'94 was a long ass time ago :P. I started up in like Med IV or something, I think probably in 2000/01. I was Gilberto/Teros, way more new-school than you though so doubt you've heard of me. I think other guys in corp played back then- Bannon and Urquart/Turnquist... Daedalus played with us for 14 days till his trial ran out then went back to WoW. Taikus/Krogh play EVE somewhere too.
Still talk to a lot of people who play/played med, probably even ones from your day.

Tharsis has fought AYDS before, they usually had numbers on us but it was still a good fight all around.
