Watch any of the alliance tournament?
Raven = Win
Nightmare = Win
Megathron = Win
Iskhur = Ultra Win
Minmatar/Amarr ships = ****.
This tournament has sucessfully showcased how riduclously unbalanced the ships are.
Those who fly Gallente and Caldari... well I guess keep on owning everything.

You have no idea what you are talking about.
This is nothing like PvP. No EW and no tackling obviously favours caldari hard.

Umm what? No EW favors Caldari? Caldari who have all the ships who use EW best? The fact that EW is stupidly overpowered... and even WITHOUT EW the Caldari ships own everything?

Agree OP poster. CCP was ***** enough not to put EW in the tournament because they know it's broken and dont want to scare off newplayers and dont want to new thread whinnning about ecm

Yes because what happens in the tourney really reflects what happens in 'real' pvp.

The only impressive thing the caldari have done is prove that without any sort of tackling or ewar they are conventient damage dealers that can tank. However, OP you fail to understand how logistic ships and drones have made all ships look really impressive.

Maybe my sarcasm wasnt so evident as i thought. This tourney is mostly about alliances boosting there e-peens and to put on a good show imo.
It really doesn't reflect alot of pvp that happens outside of the tourney. I mean since you cant use EWar and there is no point of fitting scramblers there slots are freed up that would be used for scrams/ew/stbas, etc.
People saying that ships are crap from what they have seen on this tourney and not from what they experience first hand are being abit silly.
Thats my view on things, flame away. *shrugs*

its not what is fitted or who dies first or who is primary or who is gang leader and what he orders, it's the statistics and on-screen result that matters. Result amarr always loses, minmatar has more chances than amarr, but still.

Majority of people talking about amarr/minmatar are talking from experience, having flown them for years, yet are forced to train a different race in order to be able to effectively pvp. 50% eve's population flies caldari - you boys and girls know what you have in your space ship command and gunnery sections. Gallente and caldari.
if you're talking about pve, then don't.

Since Caldari shield-tank their ships, you have all those low slots for damage mods and cap boosting. Armor-tanking ships doesnt have the option to use all low slots for that because they have to fit a tank as well.
However, i still think shield-tanked non-caldari ships arent looking very good in the tournament either. Not sure if its a range thing. Its hard to get good consistent damage from 100 km away without using missiles. You can get a good alpha strike, sure, but the dps is probably not as good as torpedoes?
Also i feel that since the teams are starting very far away from eachother, this also works as an advantage for Caldari missile spammers.
Its no coincidence that Caldari are wasting the other ships, but it might have more to do with how the contest is setup than the ship themselfs. If you were to start 10 km from eachother, gallente would probably come out on top.

Even non-caldari shield tanked ships are having a hard time in the tournament.

I cant be arsed with you anymore. If the people who you talk to who have experience in amarr/minmatar for years and still spec in other races to be effective in pvp. Then tbh they are dumb. Minmatar are far from underpowered, and amarr are good too.

No, all it's doing was indicate which ships and combos are the best when working within the contraints of the tourney rules. The vast if not all of the tactics being used at not workable in "real" situations.

rite, show me your kills, show me where you kill a harpy in a retribution, a cerberus/muninn/ishtar/ in a zealot, where you kill ravens and dominix along with tempest in an apoc or a geddon, show some setups, you are specialized in maximum 2 races and when you waste 9 months of training don't come whinning to these forums.
Truth always makes your eyes bleed, always did, always will; carry tissues to wipe that blood off because you have no experience in pvp flying amarr.

at the moment everyone tries to find their place under the sun, training for the iwin button - vagabonds, pilgrims, curses, but they don't give a **** about either tempests nor apocs, which results in: amarr is fine, minmatar is not underpowered.
