Lag Tactics?

Antaris Xenal Gallente	Posted - 2006.07.15 20:08:00 - [1] Okay, Here I was coming back to the station from ratting, all of a sudden i get pulled out of warp by a bubble, I start to turn around to MWD away when a pilgrim starts locking me up and attacking, the pilgrim was the only thing there. and my game just CRASHED, couldnt alt+tab out or anything, couldnt force quit the game, but I had the eve online alliance tourney going in background so i could still hear the people talking, and I could still talk on my TS server. So after a few minutes I just restarted my machine, when I loggged back in I was in a pod, and was back at the bubble and someone killed me. Is this lag tactics?, I seriously could have jammed the guy at least once before he kiled me and warped off! And I had two stabs in the lows that i use for ratting also so if i had gotten out of the buubble and he still warp scrambed me i might've been able to get away. Well, I didn't really mean that but I am just a little **ed off now, Couldn't even fight him and have a nice fight, I would've rather have fought him and then died, than just seeing my screen freeze as he sicks his drones on me and then logging back in in a pod. edit: I know this sounds like a lame excuse. But my guess is that his cargo was full of BM's, I have NEVER had that happen to me in a fight before.

Actually on second thought, I would and laugh at you behind your back and share the logg with who ever was in a bad mood to chear them up. But obviously this person doesn't like to talk to people. And I have never had anything like this happen at ALL before. I just wish I had actually seen my first megathron go pop instead of loggin in in a pod >_<

It wouldn't surprise me if there were other ways. Of course, I bugreported the one I found instantly, and it was fixed in the next patch. Anyone being lame enough to use such a tactic in PvP should have their ********* amputated though. On the other hand, I still believe it is more likely that you just suffered an inopportune crash.
