Barak Elneck	Posted - 2006.07.16 12:53:00 - [1] With faction battleships blowing up like it is cool, I'm wondering what everyone thinks the total isk loss will be for this tourney. I know that most of these people can afford the losses-however seeing that nightmare go pop was VERY fun I'm thinking around a trillion dollars a day? So I'd guess that over 5 trillion dollars of gear is going to get blown up in this tourney (lets see that rattlesnake in action again!). The prizes though are over 50 billion? So at least they are fighting for some good gear.

The publicity gain for them as an alliance is well worth the nominal costs. Plus it is like normal competitions, all the participants are sponsored by companies. I kind of like it cause it shows who has the nerves to lay out the cash and how much faith they have in their abilities.
