Okay, here's the deal. I don't know where this forum post should go, so if it's not supposed to be here I'm sure someone will move it.
I started training Heavy Missiles 4 at 8:39 on 03/11/2011 (3rd nov). I then waited until it had less than 24 hours left and then queued up Heavy Missiles 5. I didn't touch the game again until 11/11/2011, at lunch time, when it says Heavy Missiles 4 skill training complete. Anyway, I petitioned it and here's the sort of response I got... Take note I think the bug is that if a skill finishes training whilst your account is inactive (my sub ran out), it won't start training anything else in your queue... Also, when I say I "checked", I checked using the API, so obviously the skill was in the queue.
Quote:Hi,
I checked yesterday and "Heavy Missiles V" Only had 22 hours left on it. When I've logged in this morning, it's got 7 days left. I've lost about 300-400k skill points because of this.
Thanks, Vuetee.
Quote:GM "A" put something along these lines: This skill is training correctly. It's gathered 435,531 SP.
I argued my point and realised that it was actually Heavy Missiles 4 that took too long. I told them and they confirmed this...
Quote:GM "A" put something along these lines: I can confirm that you started Heavy Missiles 4 on 2011.11.03 at 08:39. It completed training to level 4 on 2011.11.11 at 12:13 and level 5 began training immediately.
I then asked why it took 8 days to train, and they gave me this response:
Quote:GM "B" put something along these lines: Heavy Missiles 4 takes 12 days to complete normally. Your Willpower and Perception made it 8 days rather than 12.
Now I would blank out the GM's names if I felt it was an honest mistake, but 2 GM's being ******** is either unlucky or just uncalled for, especially for a game I pay good money to play.
This has taken so long that I now have less than 24 hours to wait for Heavy Missiles 5, even with the setback, but I shouldn't have to lose all of those skill points...
Anyway, I tried replying to make the GM see sense and I'm getting sick of waiting now. I waited long enough to get the last reply... |

That's not a bug, ghost training is not allowed and was removed some time ago.
So i guess the GM isn't the one being stupid :)

They changed it awhile ago. As soon as your account goes inactive you stop training. It was to prevent guys from ghost training 30-60 day skills. |

All posting here will do is get the GM correspondance deleted from your post. It's against the rules for reasons just like this.
Re: ghost training, the last I read you get 3 days of training when your account lapses. |

Re: ghost training, the last I read you get 3 days of training when your account lapses. Well I went on holiday and didn't realise my account was going to expire, otherwise I would have renewed. I have an active sub now, they can take however long I was inactive for off that if they want.
And the GM's are now referred to as "A" and "B"... |

Either you failed to bring up your point, or this is the point. Your post was rather confusing and i didn't really see your issue, until i realized that small part of your text.
Anyway, it won't start training, because the account isn't active anymore.
It's not a bug, it's intended. As far as i believe, the skill shouldn't even finish once your account is inactive for a few days at least.
Or is it anything else ? |

One confirmed that it took 8 days and the other said that it's normal for it to take 8 days.
Sorry if my post isn't very clear, I'm not too good at writing constructively. |

Well, if that is your point then ...
... well ... how should we know why they don't know ? |

There's a chance that the GMs weren't aware of your inactive account, which could have led to confusion on their side.
If you REALLY want to know, start a new petition (if the others are closed already) and ask the GM nicely to escalate it ...
... and please ask your question in a way it's less of a riddle. XD |

This post isn't as much a post for you guys as much as a post for them to realise that their GM's are either not responding the way they should be and then maybe, just maybe, I might get a decent answer from what's supposed to be a petition system... |

ok, thanks for your input. When the servers are back up, I'll ask nicely if they'll escalate it.
I was advised by help channel to post it here, so that's why I came here. |

The advice to file a new petition is indeed a good one.
The forums cannot help you further in this case.
