Big problem with Guristas extravaganza(sp) Mission LVL 4

WolfNess Gallente	Posted - 2006.07.17 01:06:00 - [1] Apparently this mission or something to the point in the area bugged my character. I went to warp out and it was warping but not going anywhere. My ship was destoryed because of this bug and I wanted to know if anybody else has had this problem before either on this type of mission or same type of problem with warping but not warping. My corp member also had this problem 2 days again when you goto warp out and it seems your warping on your screen but your still there being hit/destoryed at the mission. This was also a Guristas extravaganza(sp)mission. I have put in a petition on this but feel that I should announce this in case nobody has had this problem yet. Or maybe you have experieced this problem and just didn't realize or have anyone around to say "hey, your still here getting pounded on" Also if you check the log book it clears out for some reason.. http://dl1.eve-files.com/media/0607/2006.07.17.01.00.33.png

It is a lag effect, not a mission specific thing. It seems the server goes out of sync with your client and while your client seems to warp out, you are actually still there. The net effect is that you keep taking damage during warp or, in my case, even after you've arrived at the gate or station you are warping to. The targets also stay locked. But when you end up in your pod you're back in the mission area. Make sure to BM when that happens so you can retrieve your can. The good news however is that I did get my ship reimbursed, although it took 2 weeks. I did include a screencapture or two of the effect (the targets were still showing locked even though I was in warp), although I have no idea if they used that in judging the case. PS: About the log, that always clears after docking. Or at least mine does. But you may be able to find the logs in the EVE cache folder somewhere. Rimhawk V8 Interceptors

The client says "i'm starting to warp" and the server doesn't seem to object (i.e, delayed or lost responses/ requests), so the client shows the warping sequence. The server still has your position as next to the rats, getting smashed... I've been half way to a station and been dragged back to where I was. Hell, I've appeared to land outside my station and then go pop... damn lag! RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE!!! ------------------------------------------ Dev Responses to common questions

Warped to the station and got lagged, was still warping and couldn't dock and getting shot from about 20au away lol. GM's are normall pretty quick with stuck petitions, jsut so long as your tank holds out -----

I always align myself up to something whenever doing missions and when it's time to warp I just click and off I go. I was just using regular mods nothing special so I really don't care about the fittings. I'm not weathly so the only thing is that I get the raven back hopefully.

I had apparently warped halfway back to base, many AUs, when I exploded, but my can of lost gear was all the way back in the mission area. (I lost a Brutix. ) Maybe it's something specific to the Extravaganza missions? -- Helen Baque Baque Industries

We have not heard anything from our petitions, i'm kind of losing respect here. I've played off and on for a few years now since day 1 actually and this is the only petition i've ever put in. If someone has some pull around here please show this to the proper peeps and have them take a look.
