While ratting I got attacked. What ever for I don't know. I didn't aggro or have a bonus on my head. When a carrier showed up I knew the odds were uneven. Wicked to have a carrier after me tho.

Swiftness, nothing but a Mexican standoff at the gate. They already had a Condor we didn't want to mess with. We left the system. They followed us and called in the capital as reinforcement.
The capital sent in 8 fighters. Not much to get away from once locked. They follow you in to warp as well?!

off:topic but, seems as good as a place as any.
if someone had 5 fighters delagated to him at a gate with the carrier sat there, if i send the fighters to attack a target who gets the sec hit/gate aggro?
and does it change if the carrier is SS'ed somewhere?

As far as I know you can't assign fighters to people in lo sec only in 0.0

Lol, when you point the finger there's 3 pointing right back at you. You can't assign fighters in a 0.4 system, but you can in a 0.3-0.0 system.

Dr Conelli is right, you can't delegate control of fighters in low sec space. Believe me, we tried and couldn't do it. That's why the Carrier had to come in and do all the locking and engaging of the fighters, 10 fighters and not 8 like Misantropist said.
Anyways, The reason why we hunted them is because they were pirating our Academy. I guess for some stupid reason they didn't think EDF proper would come up since they needed a little support .
Oh, and thanks Lunchbucket, SFC Joker, Misantropist for hiding your name. If you like the mail you can just go to the ASCN killboards. http://ascn.eve-killboard.net

Personally, I don't think the Academy needed any intervention by its overly-protective Big Brother (though its a good feeling to know they have our back). Most of our losses have come from us Cadets choosing to engage the enemy.
EDF however, has been hearing about a lot of ship losses by the Cadets. I think this is to be expected when you compare the Cadets overall pvp-experience with that of our local pirate-friends. Not to mention our (the Cadets) "jump-into-the-fire" approach to learning the trade.
And let me casually mention how one of the OP does love to trade-in for a gank-Typhoon when an engagement against the Academy seems a little too "fair".

EDF, and by extension EDF-A, are anti-pirate corps. If members of EDF-A verify that you have engaged in piracy or greifing in our areas of operation, you will be considered as target dummies for live fire practices.
If things step beyong the scope of EDF-As abilities, a couple bloodthirsty PvPers may decide to come up from 0.0 to pound every ISK we've lost, and then some, out of you.

Unfortunately for them, "close" is a relative term with Capital Ships. Freedom of Choice chose poorly.
Oh, and next time you start whining, at least have the cajones to post with your main.

1. You dont have your facts straight, all too common, in this gaming universe. And the post I made is gone.
2. This happens to be my "Main" and I am not some 12yo Cherry that is unable to respond. I havent posted until today. My Alt and Opportunist is Seth Thorne. And I believe as I have stated prior, this isn't affectionally known as whining. I am stating facts that you cannot rebutt. You can call it what you will, fact remains you brought an Abrams to a rabbit hunt and are obviously proud of that fact. Please continue to do so and I will looking forward to seeing this Titan while trolling around in my Battlecruiser. Fact remains, this is a game we all love. Those of us who love it so Play it with Honor. The honorable thing to do is fight fire with fire not with a Flamethrower or Molotov Coctail. When you have your own members disagreeing with this excessive use of force then something is wrong. Have you thought of the playful banter that myself and characters such as Lynelle have had. I believe she will attest that we are opportunist and this is an opportunists game is it not?? Did you use this to your benefit... sure, was it right?? Is it common practice for your miners to not have C.A.P.?? Is that an opportunists fault. You showed your strengths and weaknesses today. Hopefully we all have learned something.
