Twice now today i've been attacked by people that don't show up in local. Got away unharmed both times but it's a bit annoying nonetheless. Say there's you and one guy in local, he warps to where you are in his Bship, you prepare to open fire and then from another direction comes two more Bships that don't show up in local, and they're not derelicts either. It seems kind of coordinated as if there's some new tricks I need to know about.

... There's a nasty lil' trick which allows one to not appear in local at expense of hindered communication. There's also bug with list of people in local not refreshing until you manually force the refresh by dragging the split bar of the chat window back and forth a bit.
edit: oh, and have to agree with Jack on this one... 'tis imo one case where it's clear exploit of error in game code, no if's or but's...

Scrapyard Jack has tested this bug, and is now able (in theory) to operate completely invisible on Local. It's easily done, and easily discovered.
Simply put; it's an exploit. It can happen involuntarily, but the effects are easily cleared by relogging.
If people persist in using it against you, report it.
Exploits suck.

That's interesting. I'm surprised to see these corps using exploits, thought they were better than that.
I guess next time it happens i'll petition. Not that I expect the GMs to be able to prove anything, but I guess there's not much else you can do.
