I didn't edit my post to back up the fake mail. In fact, my original post didn't even notice the fact that it could be fake.
Its quite possible that:
a) The killboard software is crap and screwed things up.
b) The guy putting in the mail messed with it.
c) Someone else got the mail and refused to put it in, so they made their own.
d) Its fake.
ofc, just stated that the mail was fake. The ship could still be dead, doubt it though.

personally, i believe that mail is fake, aside from the spelling errors, and the fact that everybody there is in the same corp, but not in the same alliance. a Nyx could easily tank 4 ships. if our thanatos can tank two thanatos' and a moros for about 10 minutes whilst being nos'd neuted by 32 ships total (95% had nos/neuts on), then surely the Nyx would easily be capable of shrugging off a single thanatos and a couple of measly HACs/recons.
if the mail is indeed truncated, then its the ITEMS that were truncated, not the players involved. our thanatos loss mail had about 15 of the 32 ships on it before the ships got truncated. killmail can be seen here. that killboard doesnt display the fact its truncated, but trust me, it most definatley is. if he had killed some people off, then they would be shown on the killmail as flying a capsule (also can be seen on our killmail.) consider that when lookng at this Nyx "killmail"
and yes, i also find it absolutley hilarious that a punisher got the final blow on our thanatos.
