It struck me the other day that secondary hi slot modules, are either no hardpoint or a missile hardpoint, they never use a turret.
If you are on a missile ship and want to use a probe launcher? You are in trouble, it costs you a needed missile hard point. With the suggested upcoming changes these launchers may be very useful. Same thing with defenders, if they are made useful once again, non missile using ships can pop them in secondary slots, missile users can't.
I would like to see some secondary systems that use a turret hardpoint, or if that doesn't work taking away the hardpoint from some current systems. I liked one guys idea that if they move ECM to high slots it should need a turret slot, but I doubt that would be popular:)

Flak cannons would be really hard to balance, lol. The classic counter to a gun ship is tracking disrupto, but that only works on one ship, and takes a mid slot, which you can never have enough of:) A good anti missile turret would probably effect any incoming missiles, which would make it a ton easier to use, and more universal. Personally, if they make defenders work well and flak cannons, they should up missile damage:)

Then you fit your missile launchers and use any remaining utility high slots to mount the probe launcher. It doesn't take a missile hardpoint to fit. When probes were quite hefty m3-wise, the best moon survey ship was a hauler with highslots of cloak + probe launcher and a bunch of the cheap moon probes in cargo Signature filesize exceeds max limit of 24000 bytes. Vmir, I was told by every bloody person in my corp that probe launchers DO take a missile hardpoint. Are you sure they don't? If so I am going to laugh at my corp a lot:)

Start laughing, probe launchers don't take any kind of hardpoint. It wouldn't make much sense for ships like the Helios to have bonuses to probe launchers when they haven't got any missile hardpoints if the probe launchers did need a missile hardpoint.

Lol, I just tested and you are correct. My corp CEO and his second were both wrong, LOL. Going to be poking fun of them on this one for days.
