Why?
Because I am a poor Amarrian who cannot afford to buy a new set everytime I lose one of my semi-disposable Geddons which I do too often for my own liking.
For some reason I get called primary a lot so I find its cheaper just to go for cheaper mods and it doesn't make a gigantic amount of difference in a fleet anyway.
It's the same reason I use DHP IIs rather than Mega Pulse IIs... Yes my damage aint quite as good - but DHP IIs aint to be sneezed at either - especially backed up with 5 tech II drones.
And please guys don't slate CoC. It was just a bad situation for them. We were off to visit the Minnies and as they love to jam us had quite a bit of ECCM loaded - if we hadn't we would have been toast. As it was CoC did still get some jams in on our Geddons.
We also had the advantage in that we had spotted them and knew they were coming - whereas they had no idea we were there until they all jumped in. That must have been a fun moment on their vent 
Right to the end it could have gone either way. At one stage we were down to two BS each (as our 9% structure guy had jumped out) but CoC had lost their support by that stage.
Yes I am sure there are any number of varieties of tactics they could have used which would prolly have screwed us... but that's easy to say in hindsight rather than in the instant after jumping in to a system and find an enemy fleet and an interdiction bubble waiting for you...
Also, I forgot when compiling the video that we did actually have a Zealot with us - so it was 16 vs 12 - not 11 as I stated in the vid.

Pretty much since ECM was changed, undocking a geddon vs U'K (or any competent foe) without having a plan to deal with various forms of electronic warfare is just undocking a golden paperweight. The ECCM power boost shifted the probilities to make ECCM even more useful than before.
Well unless you are lame and go for sniping, but hopefully ECM/TD or T2 ammo will be fixed to put snipers back in EW range.
Anyhow, nice vids, sorry I missed the fight looked like a blast.

Just wanted to say a quick thumbs up to COC, and to those bad mouthing them go fight them yourselves, i do hate it when people smack in threads like this. Anyhoo.
I greatly enjoyed that fight and i hope COC did aswell even if they did come out worse off, cant win em all though =)

That's always going to be the case. Though two key points that had a major effect on the outcome of this battle were keenly observed by yourself and another poster: eccm and over-concentration of nosferatu.
if they did mount up such a good plan and gave out orders to jam sepcific targets while calling primary and secondary they were scrwewd becasue the armageddons had eccm as you jsut pointed out, so again. It's basiclly 8 1v1's ships vs. 6 gank ships.
I wonder what side I would choose to be on...

Here's an example of CVA's ECCM ownage in this engagement.
My scorpion had 3 caldari race specific ECM (over 10p each) on their raven, yet none of them succeded, infact none of my ECM ever delivered in that fight 
I take my hat off for CVA and their dual ECCM, keep up the good work
BTW 'Lux Aeterna' the theme from 'Requiem for a dream' was simply made for this vid imo

Nice vid, always nice to see the locals blowing each other up, but yeah im with kaeten on this 1, the bigger the fight the more Focus there is on instant hitting power, Domis suck at fleet ops unless they specificly fit for it, even then the geddon is built for ops like this, most of those domis seemed to be running nos, while thats great for outlasting ur opponent in small battles in that fight no ship could tank that reguardless of cap, also dominix dammage comes from drones, this can be slow and sluggish (unless using sentrys) so again the geddon has the upper hand, And also like kaeten said, the bigger the op the more difficult it is to coordinate ew,even if all 8 domis were running jammers (which is pretty unlikly)
I have herd alot of people tell me the dominix should be nerfed yada yada, but i think this vid illustrates how all the ships in eve have a roll that they can glide into, and although the domi might be a beast on small scale, close quarters ops, the domis were on the geddons turf on this 1

That was awesome fight .cock are good pvpers they just had wrong fleet to fight those geddons but im sure theyll adapt it now .cva had great setups .thats why i dont do big gangfights losing ship in 2 secs ftl lol

But still as stated, geddons do one thing good and this video shows that pretty well. Domis just dont work in large scales.

1152x864 res (this is the important bit if you play in a higher rez it doesnt record that well)
Record with fraps at full screen and compress down using virtual dub i used the xvid codec
