The sig pattern made it very easy to spot new wormholes after downtime, allowing you to more quickly find interesting things in the chain. 20 sigs with the same pattern and 2 that don't match it? Especially if there is someone unknown (thus, a target to shoot) probing that same system, you can find where he came from much faster, since you only have to probe the sigs that deviate from the pattern (this is yurop primetime).
This change, again with many in this mini expansion, are going to make finding stuff to shoot yet even more difficult.

Its very simple.. You see when you scan stuff down, you put the Sig in the Bookmark so you can quickly check what sigs are new...

This is when you enter a system for the first time.
You enter a system for the first time, see probes on scan and 2 signatures with a pattern that do not match? One is the wh where you came from, the other is probably the wh where the hostile scout came from. Very valuable information if you want to get a fight. |
