Ok im a newb pilot who is able to use a raven etc but im finding due to low SP and lack of money for faction modules, im finding that that i have to warp sometimes on lvl 4's mostly due to cap. So in the iterim while i get engineering and DPS skills up, how would passive hardeners fair?
Highs - usually stuff
Medium - 4 x passive hardeners, 1 x Booster XL, 1 x Booster Amp,
Low - 3 x PDU's 2 x BCU's
Now i know i will have less resists but with a little skilling in the resists to 3 which wont take long, would this be effective?
I realise that the resists will be lower but it wont be much lower will it? Im just looking for a way to cut done on cap in the short term while i can skill missiles/engineering higher.

active hardeners doesn't take that much cap. You'll probably have to spend more cap using your shield booster more than you're saving on switching to passive hardeners.
I think you should just add more pdus if you're lacking cap.

train for a heavy capacitor booster and buy the best named one. the cap booster 800 use up a LOT of space but suppliment the cap nice. this will give u a lot more time to pwn on the level 4s

Running out of cap on level IV's?
Sounds like you need to tan engineering for a few weeks. All cap skills should be at level V. They're just about the most vital skills there are for a combat pilot.
Also use pdu's.

Yeah thats a big reason why i dont want to use cap boosters due to space needed. Gues poster above is right, i do need to hit engineering skills. Just was looking for a quick fix in the mean time. I also need to kill faster, use a good 15 salvos on the average BS and probably 2 maybe 3 reloads for 1M BS's lol. Its pretty sad state atm.
