Just moved to DC from Texas a couple months ago, and was curious how many players were in the area. I am in Silver Spring.

from what i have seen (previous posts re the DC area) there are quite a few folks although i've never seen anything relating to a get together. would be nice though.
and welcome neighbor, i'm also in silver spring. quite different from texas huh?

Indeed. I'm not so much in Silver Spring as in unincorporated Montgomery County, but howdy neighbor!
I agree, with all the cool bars and stuff in DC, we definitely need to have a capital meet.

I'm in Carroll County,MD just outside of Westminister.
I've met a few EVE / WoW players at LAN events held in PA and Annapolis. But there are a ton of gamers here in MD.

I'm in the Shenandoah Valley, about 2 hours south of DC. I know a guy in my corp is based out of DC, so that makes two in the nearby area.

Hrm. Isn't wearing a shirt with a popped collar or at the very least an argyle JCrew sweater a requirement in G-town? 
I kid, I kid. I'm game for something provided I can make it--Georgetown is fine, Adams Morgan is fine, Dupont Circle is fine, the Hill is fine...pretty much anywhere that alcohol is served will work for me.

I said this in the VA thread too--perhaps we should orgainze an in-game EVE mail list or somesuch. I doubt anyone checks these boards very often. Anyone feel motivated?
