Can anybody tell me why a single alliance has had over 90% of the advertising after a solid day of coverage?
Why is there no listing of when ads will be played?

Why does PL have most of the ad space you ask? it's obviously because they are going to win. everyone knows it, PL are just doing everyone an egg by reminding them of the obvious. |

individual corps in PL submitted separate ads. TEST has a separate alliance ad, an EVAAK ad, a Rubella ad, and a DIX ad, off the top of my head.

Where that the case it does nothing to explain away the persistence of the SAME PL ads over and over.

From memory what i noticed about the PL ads were :
Waffles ad with recruitment
seperate Waffles ad showing announcers dancing
PL B-R tribute ad
PL ad
To be fair, i found them entertaining, especially watching the announcers dance to Waffles.
Same with the Test ad showing the Test Dinosaur in the studio.
I imagine the general rule of thumb was : Aslong as ads are different and are placed via different corps then they are going to be shown. If anything i would prefer more ads in the cycle instead of staring at the Alliance Tournament logo for minutes on end.
*Edit* while it would also be nice i imagine for the people who input the ad's to be able to see the ad has been shown, any time frame given would likely be fairly off target as issues happen and cause delays, however if CCP were to say your ad would be shown between "XX match and XXX match" that would work. |

I saw it a few times and cringed every time, does that count?
With the other Ad's I have seen most of them a few times now so maybe it would be better with more ads in the pool instead of complaining about how many Ad's PL has.

Marketing a product/service is not the same as marketing a concept or idea.
Xenuria even by itself is a concept.
When you add CSM to xenuria the concept is given context.

I am not seeing pl ads spammed hard then. TBH, it be your csm ad and their in remembrance of lots of dead titans ads that I recall the best seeking. And I see them at about the same frequency. put another way if you think pl is spamming, pot meet kettle.
Only other new PL a I saw last night had grath emo-rage sperging..(was about the death of space turd as I recall), I guess a thrill for new players. Bitters though...who hasn't heard a leaked grath spurge clip at some point in their lives or heard it live and in color if in pl.
Besides that...a fair mix of other crews ads. And this saturdays matches I could a almost swear I saw the ad for the people who make ads for corps ran the most. |

Submitting MORE ads does not give you MORE time. Just more variety. Unfortunately the majority of ads shown after the first 2 days have been Pandemic Legion ads. The idea of allowing players to make up the ad space is a great one, however like anything in the eve universe oversight must exist to prevent abuse.
