Hey gang, thanks for any help on this one.
I am about to have my playtime limited quite a bit by life circumstances (damn RL!).
That being the case, I will definitely be keeping my account active and playing, but I don't know if I'll have the time to earn a living by running missions anymore. I was wondering if the community would share some low-time-requirement income strategies. Mind you, I'm not saying that I expect or even want people to tell me how to get rich without playing.
I'm simply wondering if anybody would like to share how they earn some isk (maybe 50 mil a week as a general baseline) while only playing maybe an hour a day or so. Thanks again for any advice and if you have a suggestion but you don't want it splattered on the forum for competition reasons please evemail. I am not opposed to paying you some isk for your ideas, but please don't try to scam me-I are not stoopid.

Manufacturing works quite well.
If you have the capital to invest, shares (for dividends) like EMFI or tech 2 blueprints work well. However, note that you'll want a tech 2 blueprint that sells really well, so you don't have to keep logging on to move the product around and reprice it to get it to sell. It doesn't have to sell for a high price, but it has to sell quickly.

A good example of these are the popular t2 ammos - Close range high damage (void), close range high tracking (null), long ranged ammo (spike) and prescision missiles work well. ---------------------------

Yeah, I thought about that, but it's not gonna work for me. IMO, that's the next-best thing to a macroer and I'm not looking to get over for free, just to make some isk in less time. I can't run an L4 mission in an hour (not most anyways) so I need to earn some isk in short periods. Plus having to come back every 1.5 hours to unload my cargo bay and going back out would be almost like playing for me since I have to stick around a computer and come back every once in a while. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

Hauling is the way to go. Whatever form it is -npc goods -player made goods -goods you made yourself (the barrier in manufacturing yourself is barely existent and you'll save some money).
1 hour of playing time is A LOT of time for hauling with instas.

I can do about 20-40 million a day with 30-60 minutes of play time, but I'm not sure I want to tell you how... ;) _____ Lifewire is a big, ugly, mean... carebear. |

I would say 0.1 roid ratting, afk hauler mining is pretty much no isk... If you can only get on for like an hour or so a week it is nice because you don't need to really suit up like for missions. ------------------------ Malum Vir Pirate Corporation Recruitment I'm too sexy for my Cyclone... |

level 3's are fun and almost as profitable as l4 missions, and go alot quicker. For a challenge, try them in an Assault Frigate, Cruiser or BC.

Farming characters might be your best bet.
All you need is a couple of new accounts... training time only.. drop a couple with maxed out learning skills on the sell forum.. you have 2-3 billion for not an awfull lot of effort.
All it costs is the inital account activation, and finance with bought timecodes for time taken.
Probaly the best way of making passive isk right now.
Lame but ccp agree with it, lots are doing it... ______ Long ago one gorgeous night, we let the stars grow free. We let Zhuge do that once, he came back carrying a traffic cone, a forsale sign and three empty bottles of dutch lager. He also lost his Zimmer Frame... - Imaran

Buy low, sell high. Set buy orders for minerals in stations with agents ( specially lvl 3's and 4's). Pick one that doesn't have alot of competition. Set a reasonable buy order ( 10-20% below market average), and it should fill reasonably well.
Once you have 1 million or more of a specific mineral, you can sell at just above market average. If you accumulate even more, say 10 million+ of any mineral other than trit, than you can charge 10% above average, roughly.
You can also accumulate a huge quantity of trit, turn them into passive targeters, and sell it bulk like that. You can join the minerals channel to sell it off profitably. Passive targeters make hauling far far less painful, either for you, or your buyer. You can move 30 million trit that way, in a hauler.
Summary : Large quantity sell commands better prices that stray amounts. Buying stray amounts system wide = cheap. Result= profit. This will not get you rich quick. Not even reasonably quick. But it is a way of making your isk work for you offline.
If you have alot of buy/sell orders left unused, you can also buy/sell popular t1 modules. Most people offer salvage price - 20%. However, for things like nosferatu and afterburners, players actually buy them, so you can offer straight salvage, and make a decent profit. Again, not fast, but it makes your isk work for you. Edited by: Mustaparta on 20/07/2006 14:38:43 buy orders for faction stuff at 0.1-0.4 space. - You need faction module you want to buy before you will be able to place buyorder(use the option you get from context menu when left clicking item). - It's good idea to have order for module that have change to drop from commanders in that region. - Like sansha modules for regions with sansha spawns at belts. - dont place buy order for bs size faction modules (as these come from 0.0 and most people there wount be stupid enough to sell these for low value). Example if you get sansha web, scrambler, distruptor, medium nos are good as there is change newbie get these from commander cruisers - Remember make it region wide offer
Then just wait newbies sell their first faction modules for low price for you that you can sell 5 times more. Region average for these modules is usually lot lower than actual value of module if there even is one :)
Probably wount work or be as effective once they replace escrow with contract system.
