the magma is moving 3-7 km under, so it's not at the surface, this happens a lot, and there could end with eruption , could also just heat the glacier and cause flood. Every year there's volcanic activity either causing small earthquakes or melting glacier with small floods, and every 6-10 years there's eruption. Eyjafjallaj+¦kull was unique in the ash spewing , that doesn't happen every time, when Hekla erupts it's not gonna be much on the news. |
