there need to be more ways to get above 5.0 sec status like missions, or threw the new tag system but they are just more rare.
i used to have 5.9 but i had to make some tougth choices on pirates that were not "leagalyable" to hit now im 5.4 and it only took 4 strikes

Welcome to EVE, where you have to make tough choices and live with the consequences they bring. |

Why would you want to get over 5 ? What use does it have besides saying, hey I am no criminal.... and for that you exactly got what you wanted. You drop below - says everything about you ...
The reason for 5.0+ and the reason of your post are contradictorily. This is a nonsensical idea. Are you sure your issues aren't elsewhere ?! |

so this is just for your OCD? EVE FAQ "7.2 CAN I AVOID PVP COMPLETELY?No; there are no systems or locations in New Eden where PvP may be completely avoided""So it will be up to a pilot to remain vigilant wherever they may be flying and be ready for anything at any time" |

You're the kinda guy who collects all the trophies and 100% every game on your PS4 and Xbox, aren't you. |

Unless you are a criminal. Then you can buy your way back up from having a negative status. |

It also gets a little bit spendy if you keep buying your way back again and again. That's a choice you have to make and live with, though.
Besides, nobody ever said EVE was free of corruption and moral rot. |

There is also a difference between getting you sec status back up and to 5 or above 5, which is limited. If you screw up the first, rinse and repeat. If you screw up the second, you're screwed, you can't get back so take care if you want to wear that no-criminal button. Are you sure your issues aren't elsewhere ?! |

It just needs to be hard enough to not be easily gamed, and to make it special for those who get it all the way up there.
New flag - Anti-pirate
Requires a security status of 4.5, loose it if you go below that.
Gate/Station guns no longer protect you in lowsec. - So you need to go opt in once your security status is high enough.
When you kill a pirate (Security status below -5.0) in lowsec, you get a security status increase. When you pod one, you get a larger increase. You can only get an increase from a particular character once per month for a ship kill, and separately for a pod kill to avoid gaming the system with a pirate alt/confederate.
The increase will be a percentage of how far you are from 10.0. So going from 5.0 to 9.0 isn't that hard, but going from 9.0 to 9.9 is harder, and going from 9.9 to 9.99 is just has hard as 9.0 to 9.9, same as a pirate going for true -10.0.
So getting a displayed 10.0 status will be really hard, and require a lot of pvp. For those really into anti-piracy, non displayed values from the API going out to many decimal places can be used for ranks etc.
If you really want to make it harder, require a tag dropped one per kill from the Incursion motherships to declare yourself an anti pirate. |

To balance out this idea, we will also have to introduce new exciting ways to get less than -10.0 |
