Photon torps can hit with full overload at 80,000km. A superstar destroyer's range is more like 8km.
And yes, my star trek universe may be slightly different than yours, but Roddenberry said it was cannon at one point in the 70s! (and then disavowed its existance in the 80s, but its ok!) --- Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising up every time we fail. - Emerson |

Twi'leks=hotter than anything in Star Trek universe, but wait, Trekkers have cloaking technology not displayed in Lucas realms, but the Force is surely capable of detecting cloaked vessels, but Trek has Q, a quasi-deity more powerful than any mere mortal, unless Lucas gets Anabella Sciorra, who causes demise of Q guy in Hand that Rocks the Cradle, but that lady was saved from hell and therefore is weaker than Robin Williams in What Dreams May Come. Hence, Robin Williams is more powerful than everything in multiple universes. Therefore, Mrs. Doubtfire proves that the string theory is in fact, fact. BTW, anyone notice John de Lancie's (aka Q's) character name in Hand that Rocks the Cradle is Mr. Mott, which in fact is the name of Picard's barber in Star Trek? /me bows after the greatest forum post ever.

I did, which ones are you talking about? Doesn't matter, Twi'lek girlies are raised from birth to be dirty, dirty strippers. That's canon, they got a skill bonus to it in SWG.

It's really very simple.
Capt. Picard has to do 1/4 impulse through an asteroid field, even though he has a big ship with tons of guns and shields.
Han Solo goes full throttle, in the fastest ship in the galaxy, through an asteroid field and never bats an eye.

I am of the personal opinion that no true comparison between Star Trek and Star Wars can be made, as both ships use completely different laws of physics and science.
Although I have a sneaking suspicion that if it came down to it, the Borg would WTFPWN the Star Wars universe...

Hehehe clever ;) But I think u r just jealous :p
In ST the Enterprise is an all around scientific ship armored with some good weapons. And besides its warp speed, it can shield tank, jam with its main deflector, or even fire tachyon beams (yarrrrr) and open gates for time travel . Not to mention that it fights the 'dark side' (amarian look like ppl that hide their faces pfff). And imo that leaves Caldary to be like the Cardassians and Gallente like Romulans

And hence its more dangerous for him to go in, one hit and he's dead, while picards ship will take at least 3 large rocks to destroy and he can shoot at them as well, while han cant

Star Trek wins hands down.
Why?
The Holodeck.
Oh the things my sad sick twisted depraved mind could do with one of those....
Oh not to mention that from todays 'real world' state of technological development, in a few hundred years star trek was able to invent the holodeck, the cloaking device, the transporter and robots like Data.
With 20,000 years to work with what did star wars come up with? A really big laser (big deal), retarded bulky armor that doesn't offer any protection, small arms that are about as acurate as a spitball shooter made out of rubber bands and paper clips, C3PO, and they still use frickin swords.
Yeah... trek gets my vote. -------------------

Quote: For a thousand generations the Jedi were the guardians of peace in the Republic
- Obiwan Kenobi
Since a generation is roughly 20 years, that makes for a 20,000 year history from the 'discovery' of interstellar travel and the formation of the Galactic Republic to the times of the movie trilogy. That timeline has been coroborated by several bits of additional star wars fiction, including but not limited to 'Knights of the Old Republic'. -------------------
