When camping the old M0O gate at Passari last night a GM (Aeryn) was tragically podded as a result of collateral damage (by us). Shortly thereafter, two more GMs warped in. This is an extract of the convo that followed (edited for PG rated content but with its full meaning and information content preserved):

7. Private communication between the Game Masters, Eve Team members, moderators and administrators of the forum and the forum users is not to be made public on these forums or by any other venue.
You are not permitted to publicize any private correspondence (including petitions) received from any of the aforementioned.
The point is that GMs are customer support staff. As such they are to address customers with "sir" or "Madam" and respectfully listen to us. These GM characters are obviously not doing any of the above.
Ahh.. and we got the following thing as well:

What does the Eve community think about all this? Where did "the customer is always right" go? Comments welcome

No they aren't.
edit: Just to clarify and avoid any confusion, GMs aren't customer support staff. At times they may help players in that capacity, but that is not the definition of their position. |

You guys are B.S'ing through your mouth. It is obvious GM's have a GM at the front of their name. After you lock someone to fire on them, you see their name, and you probably saw GM clearly. It is obvious you planned this delibaretly and you were just making the GM waste time which they could have used to help people.

Ever heard of Role Playing?
The fact of the matter is, you guys were blatent to the factor that you are not to fire on GMs. Regardless of how strong or weak their ship is, you are NOT to fire on them.
Why haven't they made them invincible? Because the Devs/Polaris/and other various testers which participate on Chaos and in and about the chaos IRC Channel are too busy with other more *important* or *needed* things, because WE (as the community, CCP, etc) expect you to be able to distinguish a GM between a regular player.

So GMs who ever they are. Why don't the fly in "GOD" mode ? Seems stupid we get these post once in a while ... just my 2 cents |

Role Playing? That's exactly what the guys did, a ship warped in they fired at it... Our characters in-game have no concept of divinity like GM's and stuff?
If you ever role-played in the old-school way you'd know that as a character you are not supposed to ask GM for anything.
Besides, it's not like GM's mined for their ships now is it? And complaining that they can't do their jobs? Well they wanted to check out how the people got shot at the gate, and they did, so what seems to be the problem?
