...per week in Eve, assuming you are actively playing? Is it a significant portion of your income? Also mention what your main profession is. (Ie. Industrialist, Pirate, Mission Runner, Miner, etc.)
Just curious. (And bored waiting for a level V skill to finish.)

don't know about avg since my cash income has grown exponentially, but this week alone i lost over 230 million in goods, though it's worth mentioning that i lost a expensive domination webifier that belonged to the corp on my way to market "200 million right there"

well it all comes down to luck really
i can spend a week ratting in 0.0, watching local like a caffinated hawk and end up loosing maybe 100k worth of drones
or i could go run lvl 4 missions hit a client bug, and loose 2 battleships, mine and my alts

when I'm playing actively (currently been kinda not actively playing much, not been in the mood...) I generally have very little spent. my main mission ship is a Domi, so aside from occasionally losing a T2 drone, (usually from a badly timed disconnect, or bug...) only a very minimal amount of ammo used, (and I produce all the ammo myself anyway)
even without hitting any uberloot normal everyday functionality is a net gain by a large margin,

If you are losing isk, its not a profession, its a hobby.
I make about 15M isk a night running L4 missions in empire -- and that irritates hippoking to no end. He thinks all empire money making activity should be nerfed. I agree in ways, but only if they make security standings decrease due to pirating and random ganking cumulative and permanent.
Pirating is too easy.

I am not acctively engaging in PVP at the moment, because it has gone a way i don't really like in some areas.
Therefore i spend most of my time doing missions, where i always loose my Tech 2 Drones the day i fit them. The tech 1s seem to last forever for some reason .
Sums up to maybe 20 mil a week.
And i clonejump a lot. About 100 mil a week spread over all characters.

Edited by: Rick Dentill on 21/07/2006 07:35:19 Bit of a jack of all trades, but mostly a mission runner these days. My main "loss" is to buying stuff for other people. I have only lost 1 ship in a mission this year. However freebies and loans i forget about our the major cause of wallet drops. in the past month about 600mill I think. That makes about 150mill per week o.0. Oh CCP please give me a decent cnr offer for the next one!
Though generally i make more than I lose. _______

on average, I'm only down a few thousand isk in a week due to escrow fees and market taxes from selling loot. on the rare occasion that I die, its usually in something shiny and ends up costing me at minimum 100 mil to replace.
That said, I am a cheap, cheap bastard and I've seen my net wallet value go up several billion isk in the past few months.

You can't really *lose* isk in EVE, as you start with nothing, so anything you "lose" is just reduced profit :)

I averaged out at about 1 Battleship a month.
I mostly rat 0.0 in places I am not really welcome so this is a good average as far as I am concerned. So I dont can it loss I call it expenses. My expenses are approximately 50 mill/week. I am still laughing all the way to the bank(not the EIB)

About losing money... well, its possible to not lose anything and just collect iskies, but thats boring. So if I have money, i try to get myself blown up...
Also i like to play with ship fittings... probably have many, many millions in my hangar. I buy modules i only use once because i want to try another fitting all the time. Not really losing money though i guess. They will be useful in the future some day.
