OK, i appreciate this topic has probably already been covered, but im curious to see what others think.
Someone posts a reply to a thread, and in that reply is something that i disagree on, so i reply to it and mention this. i then get another player correcting me in a very immature way calling me a "dumb muppet".
Now while i can sit back and chuckle at being called a muppet, i really think that ppl should think about the way they word things. I try to remain neutral even on points i disagree with, and i virtually never resort to verbally flaming ppl (apart from the fact that i dont post much on these forums)
The point of this topic is: Am i overeacting to all this? 
no seriously, lets not devolve into WoW mentallity. We "should" be better than this.

Some opinions, like horses with broken legs, just need to be put down quickly and mercifully.

Fair enough, although forgetting that EW drone skill has a range bonus per level isnt exactly hard. Its not a logical bonus for a skill of that name. And thats what i got flamed for forgetting.
LOL, i cant keep track of ALL my skills ALL the time.

it's like toilets, but virtual ones, most people only use them just to take a brain dump :p

It may be thier honest opinion.
It may even be a fact. How can you or the mods be sure that I am not Fozzy Bear?
Besides, calling someone a muppet is a complement, as would be fraggle.

Did you see the thread? I did.
Regardless of your or my opinion, the best course of action for the OP would to mail the mods. If they decide action is needed, they will take it. If not, so be it.
Either way, that would answer the OP's question. It doesn't really matter what other people think, the only thing that matters is what the mods think. Either they approve, or they don't, in which case someone will be one step closer to a forum ban.

there are no such thing as manners on forums, only modified chaos.
I made a thread about 4 days ago about sentry-guns, all i got was flame If you want intelligent discussions or suggestions... well... this isn't the place 
And to the WoW-comment: this forum is already as bad as the WoW forums, the average player-age is just slightly higher.
*edit* Spellings and broken forums ftw.

To further that analogy, some people need prune juice, whereas others need Immodium AD through an IV. Nothing like verbal diahreha to make me want to put on the wading boots.
