Before anyone who isn't british uses the following as a quote, i would like to explain that here, the first Debit card that you are likely to get in your life is a Solo card.
Alot of people who are credit blacklisted, because of where they live, like myself.
I only have a Solo card, and the only means of payment that excepts Solo is paypal.
I am rather upset that a large group of my friends have stopped playing eve because they can't pay.
My game time has run out and now i can't pay.
So i created this trial account so i can type this.
So, CCP, i think you need to buck up your ideas. Until now i've never had a problem with you, but i have sen't you e-mail after e-mail without response.
And you obviously don't respect the gamers here in this forum, because you refuse to answer.
I love this game, but i hate to say it, it isn't good enough for me to get stressed about.
If it doesn't get sorted within the next couple of weeks, i think i'm going to have pack it in and play elsewhere.

This reminds me; whats going on with PaybyCash?
A few of my friends have stopped playing as well because of the same issues. Something like not being able to pay for a game that you can easily afford shouldn't be a reason to not play it :/

Why can't you use PayByCash? And I don't mean PayPal, I mean one of the other hundred services PayByCash offers.

Why don't you buy GTC's using ISK?
Is why they made that possible in the first place, to have more players.

The vast majority of EVE players don't have the in-game cash to do so.

PayByCash allows you to mail them money using an envelope.
How does having a Solo card stop you from using an envelope?

I've lost too much money in the post to risk it tbh. Some debit cards will be accepted by the sites credit card system but only for one period you have to renew the card details to pay for another period.

That's the inherent weakness with mailing money without insurance, it tends to disappear rather often.

Try the splash plastic option with pay by cash, itss a free pre paid online debit card you should be able to top up in shops with your solo card...works for me.

There are online GTC sellers, who accept paypal payment.

Very simple solution. Use your solo card with paypal to buy game time codes from www.shatteredcrystal.com Your friends cna do it too....but if they dont evne have solo cards than you can buy GTC for them and they can hand cash to you, since you know them irl.

Some other people were complaining some days ago that their card isnt good enough since a week or something. Before that it was fine and dandy - they told.

As others have said, use your card to buy GTCs to play EVE.

www.shatteredcrystal.com indeed offers a very good service, used them today actually, got the game time code very fast

You can also mail checks.
I've used the money-in-the-mail system 3 times, and it worked perfectly each time.
Shatteredcrystal is probably your best choice though.

You can try to use PayByCash, but instead of sending the actual money, just use the Bank Transfer option. Atleast in Holland, this comes down to you signing a form with the amount of money, and handing this form along with the money to the bank. They then send it to any Bank Account that PayByCash specify. No risk of the money being lost.
Worked for me a few times.

Actualy i belive they allowed it purely to help out those disadvantaged enough that couldn't afford to pay.
As to why he doesn't, maybe there's people with better morales than yourself who realise by doing so.. they are feeding isk buyers.

I have a solo card. I pay using Splash Plastic.
Simply go to Bank Withdraw money.
Go to shop.
Top Up Splash Plastic Card.
Go to Pay By Cash website.
Pay. All Done in 30 mins :)
Works a treat though i would love the option to use a solo card to sign up saves me walking around the town i live in.

You can still use paypal, just buy a GTC from a reputable online store, et voila, its really easy.

Regarding splashplastic cards and paybycash ,with the new splash360 card you cannot as yet use it for paybycash tho pbc are considering it under the maestro option
A quote from the sp site about the old card 'We will keep the service available until 30 April 2006. From 1 May 2006, you will not be able to top up your Original Splash Plastic card anymore'
and from the paybycash site
'Splash Plastic is a prepaid internet payment card, available to customers in the United Kingdom. At this time, we only accept pre- "360Money" (non-Maestro) Splash Plastic cards for payment. We are, however, considering the addition of Maestro card acceptance to our current stable of payment options. When and if this occurs, we will re-enable links to Splash Plastic. In the meantime, if you are a pre-"360Money" Splash Plastic card holder, you can continue to use your card for payments processed by PayByCash'
Just thought id clear this up to stop people mistakenly thinking they can use a 360 card to pay via paybycash and applying for one on that basis.
