I was wondering, is the only purpose of the loyalty points to give them away when agent give you an offer for them?
Or do they do something else also?
I mean if for example i am doing lvl 1 agent missions, will it then take longer before i can do lvl 2 missions, if give my loyalty points away for isk?
Best Regards

Do not give them up for 500 units of this or that. Keep collecting them for the "good" stuff. Implants, or even Navy issue ships (oh yeah!)

sound advice. but not for lvl 1, 2 agents... you will have moved on to 3s before you have accumalted enough points for the mega rewards and you don't get to transfer points... but on 3s and 4s keep saving until you don't have to ask the question "Is this a good deal?"
edit: my spelling is bad... m'kay?

There's no other point for loyalty points other than for agent offers, no.

As you progress up the ladder, those level 1 and 2 offers really do look puny in hindsight. However, it's not necessarily a bad idea to accumulate points even on those for someone who is cash and skill point poor. If you refuse all the drug deals and other red herring offers, you sometimes get offered goods that are worth a nice profit from a new player's perspective.
What new players need to know is that there is no penalty for refusing offers. One needs to stick with a reasonably small number of better agents--keep working missions over and over for those agents, while refusing most offers in order to build LPs. Train up skills like Negotiation to increase the value of missions and Connections to advance more quickly to higher levels of agents. Just be aware that missions get harder as you move up the ladder, so you don't want to advance beyond your defensive and offensive capabilities.
