right now with my lev 3 agent (is 2 jumps from a highway system) i get 10 jumps mission and 10 jump back....
if we use toll will kill the reward of the agent :(
i try not to pass a high way system and it has 45 jumps!!!!!
please papastruff do something first before that.. ============================================ Colossus Technologies The first and oldest corp in eve! BadIronTree Head of Production

I don't see how you can say this without knowing what the toll on the highway will be.
On top of that, the devs have been clear that they want to link it to ship mass.
So with a smaller ship you pay less.
On top of *that*, it's got to be a pretty hefty toll to make any sort of dent. I'm getting 50k +50 time bonus on a regular basis from my Level 2 agents.
You're also just looking at the ISK reward you're getting for missions. Agents have started giving out nice stuff, and that will only improve over time.

well im in lev 3 samotime i get 40k mission.. i use my BS with 3 warp drives... so if to pass with my BS will be 40k or something will kill the agent mission...
dont tell me to do agent mission with a thorax or a fast gallende frigets... because no one have enaff cargo space to move stuff
they want 500+ cargo for agnet missions one time it needed 750 to move it.. ============================================ Colossus Technologies The first and oldest corp in eve! BadIronTree Head of Production

I use a Probe with 2 cargo expanders for the large shipment mission...it takes over 500m3, it's been enough for all missions so far.

well i use a thorax + bestower for agent missions.. :) just have both availble at your agent station,. if u have the right skills u could fly 1000+ m/s with bestower and 850+ m/s with thorax.
it may only be handy to have a bs for agent missions for pirate missions in low sec space but with the right skills not greatly needed.

Well, I can't comment on Gallente ships, but a Probe with a couple of Cargo Expander Is and some ABs is pretty big.
Factor in using secure containers (hint - they're bigger on the outside than the inside ).
Even then, you can see what the mission is offering up front. You can always choose to take it or not.
And yes, I accept that the mission rewards are *very* variable. However, looking back across the missions, the ones that require large amounts hauled across a distance will pay well.
As the missions get tweaked more and more I think we'll see the rewards stabilising a bit more, and I can't see this becoming much of an issue.

I'm making missions for my lvl3 agent. Fitting my Thorax with C.Exp and a MWD I can make any cargo mission fast and without problems
Bele :)
P.S (by the way , a full drone bay and good weapons helps when throug low sec systems. I've never had any incident, but who knows)

yes but what about the cruiser pirates kill mission? use friget? not crazy cruiser? no because they fire missiles and they are 2 cruisers and 2 deadly frigets firing rocket... 150 damage...
+ my agent is to far from my corp base...
the point is if the toll is to high we will stop doing agnet mission
the solution is... that: the agent sould give 10 jump mission that you dont have to pass from highway systems...
but if you pay alot and pass throu them will be like 4-5 jumps
so we still use them...
im not going to do 40+ jumps so i dont pass the highway system.... and im not going to pay more money that the agent give me...
so is posible to quit agent mission

Those numbers are way off...
For Thorax: 265 cargo, 2800 m/s tops 230ish cargo - 3100 m/s tops 500+ cargo - Not sure of topspeed, but prolly close to 2 km/s. This is with 1 MWD, 1 AB (both stock), and accel control 4/nav 4. Of course, this will sacrifice cap recharge, which might slow you down. Typical mission travel setups: 5x caprelay 1x med cap battery 1x MWD 1x AB 2x Miner I 3x Med Beam Laser (I will probably have to change this aspect, since L3 killmissions are actually difficult now...)
If cargo is less than 230 I swap 1 caprelay for 1 ODI, if cargo is more I put in expanders as needed. The above setup can MWD forever at 2800 m/s with my current skillset.
For Bestower: approx. 1250 m/s with 2400 cargo (4x stock AB, 4x stock ODI). Crap acceleration compared to the Thorax though. ------------ Ezra Cornell pe0n, Xanadu Corporation |

I would get too upset, as seen there are many alternatives to your plight. The choice to use a battleship for all agent assigned mission is your own choice and might have additional costs involved.
I have yet to have my agent give me a mission (level 3) which required me to leave the region I am in, thus I have yet to get on a superhighway when doing missions. If once or twice I do need to get on a highway, I think I could cover the costs from the mission payback. Then again, I can always choose to pass on those select few I do not consider to be cost effective.
To me it would just seem to be a matter of choice, not the total collapse of the Universe.

The agent code already checks distance, if I'm not mistaken, when generating a mission.
Don't you think it can also handle checking whether cross region missions are to regions physically adjacent to each other without using a highway gate? Pator is not a highway solar system. Nor is every stargate in Pator a highway stargate. Only the Yulai gate is a highway stargate. The gates to Teonusude (Molden Heath) and Hek (Metropolis) have always existed.

Well, i dont know about all of you, but i do the agent missions in the hope that i will get a lvl3 and some implants. Im currently on a lvl1 Agent and he gives me like 8k for a mission that i have to spend 80k on Trade goods to complete.....its annoying, but it is a means to an end my friend. Wanna make isk, blast at pirates.....gees if i had a BS, i certainly would not be flyin round doin crummy missions for a crummy agent, be a real man and make non-empire space YOUR OWN!!

It's only 1 cruiser + 1 frigate... they only spawn 2 or more if you bring a friend!

I've yet to come across an agent combat mission that I couldn't do with my Omen - you certainly don't need to bring a battleship to do them. I've also never been given a cargo mission I couldn't do after adding a cargo expander or a nanofiber.

Good point regarding the difficulty with Kill Missions.
I also cannot see a Level III agent giving out missions which require you to have the most powerful vessel (offensivly) in the game to complete. This will leave Level IV and Level V agents will little ability to increase the odds.

I started with my DED agent in Yulai and then worked my way up through the ranks. I now have agents spread out over several regions with yulai in the middle. 2/3 of my missions requring travel for ANY agent goes through Yulai.
So if u wan't to really set me back on top of the fact that concord agents aren't giving out implants, just lock me out of the highway so i can't work my agents simultaneously.
CCP stop listening to the whineing wannabe monopolists. Today i can shop via the internet from almost anywhere in the world. Don't tell me that in the future we are depending on homing space pigeons for communication.

You make a valid point about being to shop on the internet and purchase items from anywhere in the world. Of course on the down side, sometimes the shipping charges of the purchases make it more expensive than to take the extra time and pick it up yourself.

And my Lvl 3 Republic Security Services Agent is one solar system over from my Lvl 2 Republic Security Services Agent. But if I want to try and do missions for my Concord agent, I have to fly down to Khanid to visit. Oh yeah almost forgot:
The Amarr want to kill me for my mission running.
So everyone has a few speedbumps to doing agent missions.
