Just wondering if I should buy an assault frigate, and dont know what they are used for and if they are good. If so, which ones are good and why?

Edited by: Admiral Pelleon on 23/07/2006 03:45:14 Once a harpy warped into a mining op of ours and took out 2 barges before I could do enough damage with torps to push him back.
Learned that lesson the hard way. They're not to be sniffed at. Did enough damage to BBQPWN those barges very very quickly. _______________________________________________

Why the hell are you shooting torps at a frigate and expecting to do good damage?

The interesting thing is if was an ishkur you probably would have ended up running. If your opponent is using torps you take maybe 6 damage a hit. ESPECIALLY if they are npcing guristas. ----

As to why I was using torps, I had just got back from a gang 0.0 NPC run, where I usually use torps, as there is usually a BC-class ship to deal with the little stuff. Not my brightest moment. _______________________________________________

I think that the general view is the Ishkur is the best AF. I would probably fly it, if I didn't dislike drones so much.

I once warped into a low sec belt where there was a barge 40km from me, as well as a scorp and raven as a guard. I bookmarked the roid nearest the barge, warped out, warped to the roid, killed the barge and then the pod and warped out again before the raven and scorp had locked me.
