SO, being that IĘve been in the game for a 1/3 of a year now and personally am heading towards a specced Gallente path I always enjoy seeing how far I can push my resists. Now since in PVE you can custom your resists I think we should confine this thread to PVP resist setups. Currently with my Megathron running an active tank I can even out at 70 - 80% across the board. In a raven I rat in I can get the shields about the same. Now, obviously I am just a wee wippersnapper so how about it you veterans? Anyone care to school me on the mastery of resistances and perhaps layout your PVP resistance loadouts and your preferred ships with which to wear them?

In my Dominix i managed to get 81% Therm/Kin 76% explosive and 79% Em resists. Bout best i could manage on a t1 ship. Faction hardners are over rated :p

I saw a Zealot once... um, scratch that... I saw a screenshot of a Zealot once with 90+ in all armor.

An Eos, the Gallente command ship, can get a 96/92 Kin/therm tank with 2 T2 actives and a T2 medium armor rep as a tank.
And yes, Ammar ships can fit a tank that not even the gods themselves could break. Too bad their tank fights with thier guns for the cap.

With all level 5 armor spec skills , using 2 cormack EANs, %64 therm/kinetic/explosive , u get easily %90+ across the board on my archon.

I belive that a Polaris Legionaris Frigate gets 99.9% across the board. Also it is invulnerable to targeting.

My standard Nighthawk setup. That could easily be improved with T2 Invul. Fields and a damage control.

vaga/muninn armor EM resist should be around 99.4643214671937% (I'm not buying 4 faction EM hardeners to test this on the live server).
Edit: that's without the resistance gang mod...

I can't remember exactly, but wasn't it posible to make yourself virtualy immune to damage or something?

Still got ganked and lost all my nice named resists though  Can't be bothered to buy them all over again, they don't last long against HACs with T2 weapons.

90.18%
95.09%
90.79%

With 2 Corpum A-type Med Reps.
And even better resists once you throw in the +20% resists it gets from gang modules =]
Although atm gang modules get stacking nerf so it might not be as good as it should.

Cruz - did u actually do this? Or did you use a ship fitting program? Cuz there is a ship fitter out there that doesn't add resists properly.
I do know the Damnation quite well and wouldn't count this out - but I just would like to know before I go saving a billion isk for a tiny % gain.
oh and how much armor hit points?
ALSO - you can get up to 27.5% (maybe more) resists from the link with implant.

The last one is the standard caldari resistance to nerfing. Min base resist there is 0.

Keep in mind that damage control resist bonuses do not stack with passive or active hardener bonuses.
That said, I think an absolution with 6x explosive core-x hardeners, and a best named damage control would be the highest.
edit: the 14% better exp resist of the damnation probably makes it have a higher resist with 5xcore-x + DC, since the 6th hardener on the absol is not doing a whole lot.

3 years ago when t1 hardeners gave 70% resist and there was no stacking penalty, I had like 99.8% to all resists on my scorp!
