Hello guys,
Today is the last day of broadcast for EVETV for this PVP event. I really enjoyed the response from the community, especially on the forums for this "project". The suggestions and comments are quite important seeing this is a first attempt for all of us. I can't explain into words how enjoyable it has been to direct EVETV, the end result surprised us all I think and made the last few months of work so worth it.
Thanks again to CCP, our lovely crew and the community for the last two weekends. -------------

<3 its been great.
Besides, the broadcast may have stopped, but offence caused to numerous inconsequential alliances, to rapists and to Texans will live on

Its been cool to watch.
Could we have more of it though, maybe a once weekly broadcast with interviews with Devs, player Vids and general drunkedness, would be great to have. .....

So as well as directing, was it your voice that was on "giggle-patrol" with the lads in yesterday's broadcast

Its great, there are a few things that could be improved, but I wont mention them here. Entertaining, and a first for me, never seen live gaming TV wired straight to me.
Look forward to next time.

Yep. So she is one of those strange females we all like. I suggest sending lots and lots of evemail declaring undying love right away. --- Eve Wiki | Eve Tribune | Eve Pirate |

Have to agree 100%. The whole tournament has been a success. It is great for newer players like myself to be able to watch all these great pilots battle their way up through the ranks, losing faction ships on that journey
In a nutshell it has shown me a whole different side to the game and id like to thank you DJ Xyliana for giving all of us that opportunity.

Personally I think the shows been great, not too professional or too amateur - just right. Of course there will always be things to improve on but i'll wait to see them (and the DVD) at the next alliance tourney.

For this last day, I'd like to see more swearing, male chauvinism and maybe the odd disguised racist/anti-semitic comment using in-game references ("THEMS BRUTOR LIKE TO STEAL TV'S, DON'T THEY?"). But mostly swearing and male chauvinism.

Can honestly say I have enjoyed every single day a lot. Had a few mates over for beers pizza and eve on the projector - thats just to good to be true. So hopefully the following championships etc will get the same coverage.
Oh, and DO get the DVD out :)

It has been a great tournament and even better coverage. To quote my house mate who doesn't play EVE, but sat and watched a few matches:
"This is better than golf!"
Well done guys!!!

Eve TV absolutely _rocked_.
Several of my friends that have stopped playing Eve, was watching it all weekend too, and those who haven't played Eve still thought it was bloody cool.
My suggestions for approval would basically center around the special tourmanent client. It needs a mode of viewing that makes it very clear where the ships are in relation to each other(with help from the commentators). And the whole team, in front of the camera and on mikes, need to know the rules for winning. It was a mess of conspiracy theories everytime a match was somewhat even and got near the end. As late as yesterday, one of the commentators started talking about sudden death.
Apart from that, Eve TV has still been an amazing feature in the Eve universe, and just proves why Eve and the one shard policy is so right.
A big thank you to everyone behind it, and I'll see you in #stavros!

It's been awesome - thanks and congratulations to all involved :D
We've also had a decent number of non-Eve players watching from the Penny Arcade boards, and they've really enjoyed it I think. I was putting together a "non-player guide" to the tournament but couldn't drum up enough support to get the ship overviews for Caldari and Minmatar done, so it never really got finished. I did link the latest beta in all the threads though and it seemed to go down well, so I'm linking it here anyway to get what was done by myself and SpaceDrake out into the public domain. If anyone feels like doing Caldari and Matari descriptions in the same style, evemail me and I'll see if I can get something together. And, of course, comments are welcome :)
http://dl.eve-files.com/media/0607/tournament_v0.4.pdf
(Should also be noted that the guide is intended for people who've never played before - explaining things in a way which makes the tournament easier to follow takes priority over absolute factual accuracy.)
