BoB fielded a crazy shield tank synergized gang vs our half armor half shield tanked gang.
Vulture was crazy tanked, CNR was tanked just enough to hold off my DPS, Scimitar kept just about everyone insanely well tanked.
Tough team to beat.

mmmm no i don't think the best one, BoB was too superior... IAC had bit too defensive setup and the command ship was not tanked enought to sustain big damage (even in the previous fight it was slowly loosing his tank)...
but for sure was one of the funniest one

It all fell apart when I ran out of 800s, lost Raem while reloading the injector, lost Tyrrax when I ran out of 800s.
Arach dumped his 800s to me and I kept him alive as long as I could but was again out of cap.
Had no 800s vs Kayo, that was just me floating my capacitor for as long as I possibly could.
Tank wins this tournament and BoB defidently fields the best tanked gang, maybe nos is good too, but we didn't have any nos.. :)

Hats off to both of you. Next to the tanking raven a few weeks ago, this was the best fight to view. Way to go. Hats off to both teams for a great show.
Jim, were you guys tied up in the station intentionally?

No. I have no idea why we wound up there, I had Tyrrax on follow.
I was really doing way too much shooting @ remote repairing to pay attention to where we were going, we planned to advance, close in so Tyrrax's Absolution could deal maximum damage to the BoB ships, but somehow we wound up stuck on a station.
My CNR's capacitor and 800s had pretty much run out at that point and Tyrrax's Absolution went boom, leaving us pretty much screwed from that point on.

Station made zero difference, didn't have the cap to use any closer range ammo than i was using there and was within optimal.
Might've done a lil better by focusing on CNR instead of Vulture, but i doubt it would've helped, vulture had more remote reppage than the CNR did so it would've ended the same.
Took a while but we ran out of cap, and then it was all over.
Kudos to BoB team for their superior strategy, was a nice fight, too bad i failed to maneuver it into being the finals

I cant help but wonder that if IAC had fielded all shield tankers or all armor tankers if things would have been different. Having some shield tankers and some armor tankers really sucks. For example: Remote repping shields on an armor tanked absolution doesn't do a whole lot.
It is interesting to note that ASCN was all armor tanked, and BoB was all shield tanked. MC I believe was also all shield tanked. IAC going in with the mixup :( But in all honesty the fact that they made it that far with such a disadvantage really goes to say something about thier skill. Nice job IAC.

Our setup was actually really good it had one weakness, it wasn't built to last very long, around the 12 minute mark we found ourselves in big time cap trouble, Tyrrax, me, Uuve all ran out of cap and 800s pretty much.
We really had no problems with any fights till BoB, it was the first time we met a truly hardcore tanked team and while our tank was good, we couldn't sustain it long enough to do the damage that we needed to do.
My CNR had no natural cap recharge really except for the injector, I ran out of 800s and could no longer repair the Absolution and that is when Tyrrax went down, the rest is history.
For the record Kayo ran out of 800s at the end as well, it was probably a bit closer than what it looked, it was a pretty hard fought match.
I don't know why people are saying we boned it or made some huge mistake, we simply ran out of cap at the end.

Now, that the tournament has ended. I can only say - good job to Morsus Mihi for going that far. Good job to IAC for fielding an exceptional team, and great job to ASCN for going all the way up to the finals.
P.S. I think the tournament organizers should next time take away that station-like structure in the middle of the arena, that does nothing but makes the ships stuck inside. Another point is - if EW wasn't allowed why target painting was still legal? And finally, for the next tourn they should consider banning pirate implants.

While we're at it, lets remove the use of T2 ships! 
The structure in the centre did exactly what was it was ment too, instead of being a simple, lock, approach, F1 F2 F3 scenario with a bit of hotswitching your logisitic drones, there was obstacles they had to overcome as a team also, you snooze and wander straight into it, you lose, as we saw. Added an extra thing to overcome, not just your opponents tank.
