you need to think about the 30 man gangs you'll get. I understand what you want, and that would probably be fun the 3 times it works.
But the price of having logi frigs in fw sites (effectively killing solo fw hunting) and invincible inty gangs is just too high.
This is a bad idea. Let it go. |

The bigger gang, the more dps/ewar it can afford to lose in favour of logi support, easily reaching the point, where it can permatank smaller gangs completely. Especially with some "uberlogi" frigs with more buffer, t2 resists and better mobility.

Have to agree, recently got back into FW, and have participated in two fleet fights so far. Both times each side got maybe one kill while logi's where setting up, getting locks etc. Then spent 5-10 minutes to trying to kill each other which neither of us could do. Then warped off.
Both sides had 6-8 tech 1 logi cruisers.
Unless you have the fleet sizes that nullsec produce and have the ability to alpha logi, then they just create stalemates.

Then we are back to training a racial ship skill to V before people can even try to be a logi. The T1 frig and cruiser act as good stepping stone into logi play and should remain available. |

OP...the whole speed and tank thing....AT kind of ruined that for you. We have a case of a burst with tandem reps taking up to what, 26000? in damage before dying.
When ccp looks at ships and such I like to believe they factor in what happens when you get a "pro" pilot in these things. Make a ship less than skilled proof to use a phrase, what happens when you get a good player in them. Latter tends to see where you see op potential.

If anything, the existing classes should be expanded on such as the introduction of another set of interdictors or a set of Carrier that has no logistic bonus or refit ability but a massive damage bonus....nevermind that's a dread. There are no stalemates, only people who don't bring neuts and ewar in a fleet fight with logi.
+1 for T2 small ship logi, but the hull could as well be destroyer |
